I'm happy that I got more representation
Another non-binary warframe hit the orokin tower...

Xaku was already OP with armor strip, good ability damage scaling and one of the better damage buffs.

Now we have Temple with abilities that give you more crit, heat damage and on top of that healing you and your teammates and decent exalted. Not even to mention amazing looking protoskin.

Now that's representation I want!

For everyone saying Temple is nb because of Lizzie being added, I thought so too, but Hex and Drifter also refer to Flare as "they", so there's that.
Im actually curious about this. Aren't you tired of always being "represented" by weird looking characters? In every single game that I saw that has a non-binary character the character looks weird as f. I never met anybody irl who identifies like this but I would assume that people who are non-binary are regular people. Some of them look weird, some of them are hot as f, but in games they are always weird looking.

Isn't super offensive and discriminating? Tbh that is smth I always found weird, like Mrs. Freeze in Suicide Squad was one of the worst "lesbian designs" I have ever seen as it's literally offensive as f as it only mirrors stereotypes.
temple is NOT nonbinary its a man Flair in a simbeotic relationship with a female sentient guitar that became alive when his infected blood soaked into the guitar. they are two distinct and separate personalities in 1 body. hes dressed the way he is because he was moddled after a glam rocker of the late 80s early 90s and 98-99% of them where absolutley straight and thier on stage personas where an act nothing more. if you interact with them Lizzy addresses flair as he and him and lizzy he adress lizzy as she all time.

yoiuwalk up to them in mall lizzy flat up will say he is mine devil

No, what Lizzie says is, and I quote, "Flare is Ours, demon!"

Nowhere in the dialogue does Lizzie, Viktor, Hex or Drifter refer to Flare as "he", but the latter two do refer to Flare - specifically Flare - as "they", such as Drifter's "You mean Flare? They're a musician."

Yea there's genuinely offensive representation, but it is usually done by companies trying to get that Black Rock money for ticking as many boxes as possible, not trying to actually represent anyone. Without going too deep into what protoframes are, Flare is just David Bowie if David Bowie was non-binary, and I doubt anyone would unironically say that Bowie wasn't cool.

Screenshot or it didn't happen. I've specifically cycled through their voicelines and played a whole bunch of stage defense and not once did Lizzie refer to Flare as anything but "ours", "us" or "we".

and this is game itself confirming temple isnt nonbinary but a male and female tied together in single shell

Not debating on Lizzie, she is female.

The game doesn't confirm Flare being male anywhere, not in any dialogue, not in their KIM profile.
Well, if you consider who Flare is inspired by (David Bowie), and you know who he is... then... Lizzie may be his alter ego Ziggy Stardust (who is non-binary), and the Spiders from Mars would be the band Temple.

Personally, I don't think DE is trying to push any DEI agenda with it. I think it's more of an homage to David Bowie, which, if it is, then I'm all for it.

For anyone interested in some additional reading:

Now that a few of you mentioned it, the Temple's protoframe skin does look a lot like David Bowie. Cool! And I really liked his music too (even still owning a few of his albums in CD's), even despite it was introduced to me by my dad I'm still a straight genotype male although that never has prevented from enjoying his music and respect him for whatever different sexual orientation(s) he had. :baa:
And perhaps this might be some food for thought for plenty of people around this community / world as well. :winter2019happybulb:

I've always thought Temple was influenced by David Bowie, so it makes sense, to me.

Also, I thought it's not that Temple is non-binary, but that they are a joint identity of the guitar and the person entities. In that sense, they are probably similar to Xaku, a being made of different parts. I wonder if there was some consideration for them just being the proto-frame of Xaku.

No, Flare definitely uses they/them pronouns even when being referred to as an individual.
Temple is a guy and NOTHING ingame says he is nonbinary.

So far I have seen one note of that and its the third ability saying "healing them." instead of "healing him." wow such representation.

Does anything in the game say Temple/Flare is a guy?
