Being gamers, we have already learnt from the Fallout series: "War. War never changes" 😆
On the other hand, you have Metal Gear Solid 4's intro with:
Gravelly Voice from a several-pack-a-day smoking habit "War... has changed."
Daikyu
Veldt
Opticor
Tigris
Astilla
Rauta
Quatz, Viper
Kestrel, Broken Scepter
I'd also like to see dual wields be classified as the same gun as their single counterparts for the sake of mods and Incarnon adapters. I'm still a little upset that I have to stick my Furis Incarnon on a plain gun instead of the Dex Furis or Afuris Prime.
Serro or Tenet Serro
Kreska
Prova
Akstiletto
Akzani
Sepulcrum (If Trumna gets primed then sepulcrum should get an incarnon)
As for weapons I would like to see given the Incarnon treatment? Probably the Ether weapons.
Tangents are good - go for it.
I broke up the quoting of your post specifically for this point you made, which I think has some hidden brilliance.
The Rivens originally were meant to add variability for weapons, which... has pretty much ended exactly as one would predict it would. Kuva & Tenet were another approach, which at least works better than Rivens do for helping make more viable weapons.
Incarnons being another method used by DE for the same issue seemed like a better and more targeted solution for the little-used weapons they were actually meant to be a buff for.
Your idea as it is would likely end up working out more or less as Rivens have, where mediocre weapons would stay mediocre compared to the shards doing more work for better weapons.
However - Incarnons or Kuva/Tenet weapons specifically being capable of it makes sense, and is a rather interesting idea. It does have the potential for horrendous power creep if done wrong though, so perhaps simply allowing a single shard on a weapon might be better to avoid the potential for overpowered shenanigans.
This is a good idea though, and has definite potential.
This is something DE still hasn't fixed. This is a fair point - Incarnons should be able to account for skins at this point.
Ether weapons quickly go from the "oh, cool!" point to "eh" disappointingly fast. Given their descriptions, one really would expect them to be much more interesting than they actually are. This is a great idea, I'm actually disappointed in myself for not remembering them, and I fully support it.
tysis already have coda , it won't become incarnon
