It seems bugged to me - if you're not the Host, your MKs won't count towards the bounty.

Make sure it's actually a mercy kill and not a finisher. A finisher doesn't count since it's not a mercy kill.

If you knocked them down then it'll be a finisher. You will have to wait for them to stand up and it have to say "mercy" to be counted. Really dumb, I just ignore these missions completely. :Corpus:

Same. I've been able to do "reliable" mercy kills on eximus units. Since they don't die in 1 hit.

Alternatively you can bring a weapon with forced impact procs or just have impact on it that can reliably proc. Then you can mercy kill too.

From the wiki:

During normal gameplay, Mercy finisher prompts will only show up on specific heavy units. These prompts are guaranteed at 40% (60% on Corpus with all their shields removed, 80% on Eximus) of their total health. Impact procs increases the Mercy threshold range of heavy units by 8% per proc up to a total of 80% (100% on Corpus and Eximus) of their health. However, heavy units above level 150 decreases the Mercy threshold range by 1% per 5 levels down to a minimum of 10%. The threshold range is indicated by a yellow bracket on the enemy's health bar.

Yeah, it's a bad one. I ended up in one where there just weren't enough Eximus spawns to get the kills and everyone just dipped.

Mission took 30 mins the last time I did it. Mercy only works on eximus and our NPC volt was nuking everything before you could get the mercy off. We needed to split up a bit to draw him away from combat

That was happening with my squad too, only it was Arthur following me around and stealing the kill every time I found an Eximus. :steamfacepalm:

If you have allies such as Arthur one other thing you can do is let them shoot at the enemy and just stand next to it spamming your interact button. 9 times out of 10 you'll get the mercy kill that way. There's no way the NPC allies are one shotting enemies.
