Yes, it's out. You have to complete the necessary quests (Duviri, Lotus Eaters) to open access to it.

1999 is the latest quest in a long line of quests. You have to complete all the other story quests to unlock it.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

The demo absolutely blows btw, it feels more like some proof of concept crap rather than the actual update.

That's because it's a demo. Not the update. And it's totally fine for a demo. You get a playable mission with the environment and enemies and characters from the update. Not sure what you were expecting. Half the update?

Do you know what a DEMO is?
I was happy to see that because I still have "The War Within" as my quest, I cannot see the new content. To be fair, None of this is visually pleasing and the hype was larger to me than release. I just don't like the YMCA dream group that is "Team Diversity" calling it pre-Y2K.

They threw a dart at the board, too bad the board was behind them and they were dry sober.

check codex and select "The Hex" or complete quests until you unlock "The Hex"

I wonder actually if you know what a demo is, because when we're talking about games a demo that is meant for consumers means a sample of gameplay and is typically taken from one of the best parts of a game. I grew up playing ps1 demo discs.

It was a demo. It had combat melee and gunplay, It had a bike section for mount gameplay, It had objectives and stages to build a world. It was mega-short but we are long past your days of "Muh PS1 magazine / Pizza Hut demo disk" with 10 games worth a look.

We are in the days of Capcom giving you a hard 30 minutes or the first section of an area. People need to stop that compare X to X, these are not the same company, standards or whatever argument you think you had. It was a demo. It gave tastes of the current game we know with the ascetic they are trying to establish.

You are annoyed it was short.

No, but I'm annoyed at your assumptions. It was boring unmodded excalibur gameplay with predetermined loadout and exterminate objective. This so called demo was literally weaker gameplay than a new player experiences after 2 hours. Demos are supposed to build up excitement and make people interested and this one totally failed at doing that.

Failed at your personal standards, Did not fail to do as it promoted on the tin. Sorry the 11 year old game failed to make your low bar. IGN is really missing out on quite the educated gamer. :rennyf1:

Which is literally what that demo was. A sample of the new tileset with new enemies, new guns, new skin and new soundtrack.
