What Are the Current Top DPS Weapons for Ease and Effectiveness?

Back in the day, it was often a kitgun that topped the charts, but nowadays it seems like Zaw or Tenet weapons might be the go-to options. That said, I’ve been out of the loop and haven’t kept up with all the recent changes.

I’m not looking to spark debates about 'meta' or min-maxing—just looking for insight from those who’ve tested various combinations and know which weapons are genuinely strong with minimal effort or investment. Something easy to mod and effective across most situations, like the best-in-slot options we used to rely on.

Can anyone bring me up to speed on what’s currently strong in the latest map?

My favorite go to setup is kuva tonkor, tenet cycron, and tenet livia. Kuva tonkor for trash clearing, tenet cycron for stripping (not to mention it does massive damage on its own), and tenet livia for strong melee attacks while also preserving the combo counter when I switch between weapons. That with a couple green shards in my frames and I'm golden for most content. Sometimes I'll use other builds and / or weapons if I need something more specific though.
