why babas? is it the spanish meaning or does it mean something else in english?

Keep in mind I don't speak Spanish at all, but my understanding is it means like spit or drool.
She probably gave us that nickname because we were spat out by the helminth, unless there's additional context I'm not aware of as someone who doesn't speak the language and generally doesn't know much about any Spanish speaking culture

i completely forgot about the helminth thing, i just thought she was calling me a moron

''Baba'' is the Spanish name given to the saliva that falls from the mouth.

Not to be confused with the saliva you spit, that is ''escupitajo''.

I don't know the context in which DE has chosen to use it, but the closest thing to "babas" in Spanish would be "baboso" which is a derogatory term for men who stare at women too much to the point of making them uncomfortable.

I have no idea if the term "babas" is used in any part of the hispanic territory of South America or North America.

I mean... to be fair, we DID come out of a Helminth mouth in 1999... Guess it seems fair we get called "drool" XD
