An OPTION to NOT accept ally buffs.
A lot of warframe buffs actually destroy different builds and render something powerful to something that is extremely weak. I just spent an hour or so getting melee dup to work again somehow only to have some frame buff my critical to past red, rendering the stronger dmg build i made, deal pathetic damage instead. From something completely outside of my control. I think inaros have an issue like this as well (i dont personally use him, but ive heard it described to me)

(PLEASE do not latch on two specific examples, but the idea of the implemented OPTION as a whole) Needed, or Un-needed?

edit- The OBVIOUS (obvious) Obvious answer would be to: Dont play in squad. This is retaining for squad gameplay.

A simple solution would be to have a Toggle option in the menu:
1. Do not accept ally buffs. Devs, this is the laziest option, so consider this one?

A medium solution would be:

1. Do not accept ally offensive buffs
2. Do not accept ally defensive buffs
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A more detailed option would be:

1. Do not accept crit buffs
2. Do not accept power buffs
3. Do not accept hp/armor ect buffs
4- insert un-desired stat here, and so on, so on.

A menu option for this would be super cumbersome, since you could theoretically need to change it between every mission. Being able to do it could very occasionally be useful, but you would need better implementation. Maybe right clicking the buff itself in the pause menu or something, since they added the ability to read all your buffs there, and it would only last for that mission, so you don't forget to enable it again later.

Sounds good in theory. But when modding, all sorts of buffs appear in-game. Some from the senital/companion, warframe passives/primaries, weapons, arcane ect. I get about 2 rows of tiny icons on screen in-game. The ONLY way to read them is by pausing and hovering the mouse over it.

Maybe for someone with muscle-memory, or who knows every buff is just from the icons could just right click them away.

I personally also wouldn't need to toggle it on or off between every mission since i mod my warframe and weapons to be completely independent on a random team-mates buff. When i turn it off, it'll be off for good.

But to add onto your suggestion, what if they were in a different color, such as, blue for your own, and green icons for your allies. I wonder.

i do wish i could turn off nova and loki teleport systems on my own warframe, since most of the time they just use it to troll people but ofc that's not a big enough issue for DE to consider doing something about

I'd like to see a whole QoL revamp around buff bloat and how to manage their display so something like that could fit in the whole ordeal.

But realistically, it's way to big a project and it would confuse new players. Just adapt your loadout when playing in PuG and move on.

If I may make a suggestion... do it the way FFXIV does it.

When you pause the game in warframe, you get the lists of active buffs on yourself brought up and tool tips given when hovering over them with your mouse. Just allow the user to click friendly buffs to disable them. Yes, it'd be a little annoying, but then you can accept player A's non-intrusive buffs while declining Player B's problematic one.

Wait, so you're using a Dup, which in the Gaming World is short for "Duplication"... aka Duplication glitch.

Stop crying cause your precious stuff got broken and be thankful your Allies are at least tryng to help. If i see your name it's a instant kick... that or I'll make sure yo constantly give you Buffs.

Stop breaking the Game and play normally!

Melee Duplicate is a Melee Arcane Enhancement causes on Base (Yellow) Critical Hits to inflict a second instance of damage.

So if you're doing orange/red crit because of an (ally) buff, you're out of luck. That's what OP is talking about

the one buff i see as unwanted are movement speed buffs.(i HATE whenever i randomly gain/lose speed from a factor that isnt in my controll)

however i think a already present system is to make buff skills work like volt speed where when you backflip and the speed buff gets discarded(plus falling into pits also discards basicly every buff on you so there are multiple paths for "allie aplied debuff clear").

so it should not be impossible to have a "disable all buffs" button and it would not be that big of a problem since you likely run the buffs you want active yourself anyway

Honestly, I would like to have the option as well. But more specifically, for movement speed buffs. Those annoy me to no end and can make traversal even more of a pain when you're constantly smacking into things because you're used to your own speed, lol.

Just jump off the map to reset or remove the buff

(you'd lose your own buffs)
(they'll just simply re-buff you again)
