Helminth - Just got it. How to properly use it?

Hello there everybody,

I finally convinced myself to do some more systematic Cambion Drift grinding to get the Helminth expansion into the Orbiter's ('Infection Bay', as I call it)[warframe.fandom.com] and now I'd like to do an Helminth Charger but none of my WarFrames (WF's) is currently infested to spawn and later on harvest a Cyst.
Therefore, I'd like to know of a way to make me an Helminth Charger now that I've finished the War Within quest. Can you help out a fellow Tenno, please?

I also would like to know which are the best WF's to subsume and which skills to 'plant' upon which ones. Thus, which are your concepts, ideas and tips to achieve that more easily?
I'm already grinding for a 2nd regular Harrow because I've always enjoyed playing with that WF and already had subsumed my 2nd regular Nyx into my "BioTech Snatcher".
So, any help and tips preventing me from re-reading and trying to fully understand the 'UnOfficial' WF Wiki link that I've provided above would be highly appreciated.

You should subsume every warframe that your possess in double or if you have the prime version of it.

I do recommend Rhino / Mirage / Mesa / Sevagoth as they are easily in the top most useful skill once subsumed.

As to to which ability to put on an other warframe it is all up to what kind of build you wanna go for there are plenty of different combination.

I'm already doing that because I like to plan in advance and already have quite a few duplicate WF's from the ones that I enjoy playing the most (either I already got their Prime version or not).

For instance, I already have a 2nd Rhino (because crafted me a Prime) and since I don't enjoy playing that WF I'm sure that the regular version is ready to be subsumed next as I intented.

And, if not mistaken, I also have a have a duplicate of a Mesa because when the 1st Aya's Prime Ressurgence event occurred I've crafted me a Mesa Prime, but still need to check if the original is clean although I'm fairly confident that she isn't (because I still enjoy using her occasionally).

And I'm quite certain to have a 2nd Mirage because already made me her Prime couterpart but need to check if the regular remains clean of Formas and/or Focus Lenses.

Add Protea to that selection. Her Subsume is the Dispensary and combined with Equilibrium and Synth Mod set will make energy a none issue.

The solution to that is rather simple.
You need a frame with the neck-tumor, but "cured" frames can not be re-infected.

So:
Get a new frame. Does not matter which or that you already have one like it, any cheap and easily available one will suffice. If you are in a clan, a extra volt is cheap to copy the blueprints for.
Build it.
Run a single mission with infested (and get hit a few times).
Wait for the tumor to finish growing (wiki has the timer, it is a few days or something).

Then you have a frame ready to do the plague-kubrow thing with.

Just get all of them. Subsuming frames and imbueing abilities is how you level it. It has limited subsume slots but it's eventually unlimited. It's not very costly to add abilities to frames so feel free to experiment and replace your choices as regularly as your spare crafting materials allow.

the critter eats a VAST AMOUNT of resources. If you do not have a large stockpile, I recommend you read over some web pages on good skills to absorb, and focus on those first, to complement your favorite 5 or so frames that make up your usual working set.
Then you can go all in as you have the resources to do so.

Watch out that some skills are seriously damaged. They just ruined mag's pull, and ivara's quiver is also about worthless without dashwire. Look for the word 'altered' so you don't get a nasty surprise... not all the web pages explain the skill alteration well.

I already had in mind adding Protea in there, but since I only have one and her grind is lastingly painful as fork, so that's why I hadn't mentioned it still.

Thanks for the pointer. Although I liked playing with Volt I hadn't used it in a loooong time, so I actually might get me a 3rd from the Dojo to later on subsume and in the meanwhile... to infest, ofc.

I wouldn't exactly call WF the "go get'em all" Pokemon friendly sort of game, but I already had gotten somewhat close to concept. Thanks for the tip, anyway.

Infested enemies cannot give you a cyst.
It is contracted from other warframe with helminth virus (most notably Nidus) on the missions, in the dojos or in the another player Orbiter. So yeah, get a fresh frame, play a couple mission with other players until you'll hear "splortch" sound at the mission start and then wait a week until cyst matures.

Thanks for reminding me how I got my 1st Cyst.
It was playing with friends and one of'em even warned me that his/her current WF carried it so most likely I'd also be infected at the end of that mission and would need to make a trip to the Orbiter's Infermary ('Infection' Bay, as I call it) to have it removed.

Guess that I'll have to play a few 'Pubbies' once again until that happens. *Sighs deeply* >_<

Clever idea. And way more effective rather than waiting for forking luck to strike me with a team mate that had brought an infested/diseased WF into a mission.
