Skin Blueprints?
Noted there was a skin section in the foundry. Is there currently a way to get skin blueprints as drops, or is this part of an upcoming update?

Alternate helmets and alternate weapon skins from alerts go there. Those weapon skins include the Dagger Axe skins. I think that's all. Oh, and the alternate Fragor models, the Manticore and Brokk.

Oh ok... Not as great as I expected, but getting alternate helmets for free with extensive work is pretty good. I'm not one to spend money for cosmetic items so I was wondering. Warframe/weapon slots though, definitely worth a few.

Not even that much work. See an alert with a skin BP, go to recruiting channel for taxi if you don't have that node unlocked. Bing, bang, boom, done.

I have so...so...soooooo many helmet BPs for frames I don't have/want. If only we could trade them...

Yep. I am only missing the Locust helmet and Swindle, as well as Nekros' second one.

Wow. Just another example of why warframe is a really great free to play game.

The bad thing about the way it works is that since they're through alerts, not every player who wants a certain helmet can get it simply because it conflicts with their own agenda. But that's hardly a negative, when considering those alerts happen very often. Now if we're talking about Vauban, I do feel bad for those who want him and are never online to get his parts.

At least Vauban is not like the other warframe drops in addition to his alert status. I would hate to do his alerts and get the same blueprints over and over.

The root of the problem ultimately lies in the fact that there's little incentive to do higher level systems. Not so much because new players don't -want- to do them, but because practically noone plays the higher level systems. So people who don't like soloing things, or people who are having trouble with it simply can't find groups to advance in a system.

Which is how we end up with so many people needing taxis. Hell, even I need a taxi once in a while, because I don't feel like wasting fifteen-plus minutes a node finding people to play with to advance in a system.

It is a good game. But I will go out on a limb and say the platinum exclusive items are way overpriced. The new Excal skin? 12-13$...for a skin...for a warframe most people never play.

That's an incredibly small complaint. But what I do take issue with are weapon/frame slots. They are ONLY purchaseable with platinum. And if you're a new player/don't know how to play the trade system (Which currently only caters to veterans), you're screwed into very limited slots without dropping real money (Which are in chunks that are overpriced).

Those skins are pretty overpriced for only being cosmetic, and the slots are pretty limited with spending platinum. But spending a little bit to support the devs for extra slots to put the stuff earned for free is fine by me. In unrelated news, I finally beat Eurasia!!!

Actually, now that I think about it, at least they don't limit the rest of the inventory: mods, resources, and gear.

I've dropped real money on the game, don't get me wrong. I like it enough that I have here or there. But mostly just to buy syndanas, catalysts, reactors, and weapon slots. Those are reasonably enough priced.

But I stand by my statement that the plat purchase prices are way over the line, as are a lot of their plat-only things.

I'm also semi-pissed that the only truly looking skin in the game (proto-excal) is for a crappy warframe and is insanely overpriced.

No, that's left to EA and Bioware with Star Wars: The Old Micro Transaction.

Still, inventory slots should be earnable in game with mastery levels (Which are seriously a pain in the ass at higher levels to earn), an insane amount of credits, or maybe rare crafting materials.

Also, huge congrats on Eurasia. I know since Tethra it's been near impossible for low leveled/geared players to accomplish. I hope some vets were nice enough to assist.

I am not gonna comment on the first thing you said, as it is irrelevant to gameplay, however i have to disagree on your second point, to some degree anyway, while i agree that slots being only available with platinum is annoying, i really don't think it's very hard to aquire platinum within the game, there is plenty of info on the hub/official forum/wiki about trading (and everything else in the game), there is a few big clans who are constantly recruiting on this hub and "farming" rare mods is not exlusive to veterans, as soon as you clear Venus you will have access to nightmare missions, that and with the 50 (i don't know if the amount has changed) platinum you get by default, you should have a fairly easy time getting a nice arsenal of weapons and at least 3 warframes, by the time you get there you should already be able to do Void missions, which mean Prime parts and more trading optons.
