rushing builds is really only used for clan dojos tbh, and usually then its donated plat.
rushing builds are clearly aimed right at the instant gratification generation of kids/young adults though....there isnt anything in this game that you need immediately..3 days for a frame is nothing tbh, 12hrs for a weapon....start your crafts at night before bed...again nothing time wise...
forma and other rare components are hardly used, and when you do use them youll want to make sure you dont waste it (like formaing a weapon that doesnt need it). Like the kid whos upset building 7 formas will take a week total...wtf are you going to use that 7 forma for? waste it on a weapon that doesnt need it?
And since as far as i know you don't have a limit as to how many different gears you can craft in the Foundry, what i do is i build any weapons/warframes/formas/keys that i know i will use eventually, and i leave them in the Foundry until i need them, at this point i have 4 warframes ready to be collected and 3 weapons, by the time i lvl those, i can simply craft more, this way i don't actually "wait".
Again, while you build stuff, the game doesn't stop you from playing so really it's just a case of having a minimum of patience, it's really not that bad when you plan ahead...
As for the formas thing, since you can only use one per weapons/warframes per 30 lvl, you don't actually need say 7 formas at once, they will just be sitting there doing nothing while you lvl your stuff... I have 5 built formas sitting in my inventory...
To answer your question, Yes, i have rushed alot of things, mainly because i have obtained every weapon and frame of interest (to me), and i tend to rush the new stuff because i want to have it while im still online and have time to rank it up, but i will not rush a rifle, if i already have an unranked rifle to play with, or find it necessary to forma something.
That said, i think that the craft time is stupid, its ONLY purpose is to bother the ♥♥♥♥ out of you, the hard part is tumbling around the rng to get the parts for whatever it is you want to craft, and after 5 days straight farming(add to that the time it takes to acquire keys), they are gonna ask you to wait another 12+ hours for no reason than another shot at grabbing some plat?
I think its shallow, and i hope to see it gone. Getting certain items and parts is har...i mean... TIME CONSUMING enough, as it is.
And still now, after getting all the parts for a weapon or after see it completed in the foundry I get this "F*CK YEAH" thing when that happens.
Sounds like they've got you. You lack discipline!
How will the system that you think is shallow ever go away if you continue to make it a success through your impatience?
I am hoping that others who dont, will also voice how stupid the system is. but apparently its all cool, and people see it as "part of the game". yeah, the fun of waiting for no reason, as youve already got the materials needed for whatever it is you want to craft.
Its not that i am unable to wait, its that i prefer having the weapon when i know that i have the time to play, a weapon thats finished when im sleeping or unable to play for 4 days is no good.
Again, i might come across as impatient, but 50 plat is barely a bar of snickers where i live, and i would probably have spent it on crap anyways, and thats passing 2 days of crafting time mind you.
Lastly, i think that most will agree that the nature of rewards in this can be frustrating enough in and of itself.
Getting items is not difficult, in any way. its only time consuming because 9.5 out of 10 times the voids will tease you with the same reward over and over, or another key to keep your hopes up, OR alternatively, credits, when you already have more than youll ever be able to spend. even if i somehow got rid of half of the credits i currently have, id never be able to spend the rest.
