Like I've been saying, the changes did pretty much nothing but tick off people who liked the weapons. I'll be over here spamming volt's 4 to kill entire rooms of level 80 enemies. Let me know when AOE is actually gone.
You are wrong, AoE change wasn't a nerf, it was balance. The ammo pick up wasn't nerf, it changed nothing, numerically is the same, but instead of receiving a lot of small quantities of ammo, you now receive once a huge amount of ammo, mathematically is the same, the difference is that way you don't spam AoE attacks, but you still have the same amount of ammo.
In other words, what DE did was to kill the spam, just that.
If AoE spam returns, Pablo has plans for more changes to AoE to bring it in line more aggressively. These are the tiny changes to make you have to activate at least one neuron while spamming AoE.
The next nerfs are things like explosives requiring line of sight to deal damage.
