actually, we'll se umbra about 30 days after china gets them, that is atleast what alot of people have read. and we already have 3 different latron weapons, latron, latron wraith and latron prime. so it wouldn't suprise me + i don't care if we have 3 variants of 1 frame, it only means we get more MR affinity.
I wouldn't grind nor buy the same frame that has more armor in exchange of shield, for example. It would mean more MR but other than that would be pointless.

you can get some primes/mods and trade it for platinum, it isn't that hard to get it.
Kunai Prime, and Nikana Prime will make their way into Global version eventually.
Changyou Warframe is getting Umbra Excalibur Prime.

As Rebecca said, developers and us (Changyou) will maybe push out a new series called "Umbra" warframes, and in that said series, Umbra Excalibur is one of the possibility. But it will NEVER be Changyou's exclusive - "Umbra Prime Excalibur" (AKA Global build's Excalibur Prime). Umbra Prime Excalibur is an exclusive DE made specifically for Changyou's players, it is exclusive, one and only Umbra Prime Excalibur. After Founder Pack is sold out, it will never be sold again, or obtainable through drop. So for Founders please don't worry, as we(Changyou) and DE will never go back on our words.
另外，关于圣装侍刃和圣装螺旋飞刃的绝版问题，售卖结束之后一定时间内国际服可能会以未知形式推出，但是在国服，这两件武器确实属于绝版，创始人资格售卖结束后，国服不会再进行售卖或是掉落。
In other news, about Nikana Prime and Kunai Prime's exclusive issues, after Founder pack ended, after a limited time, Global Build will release it in an unknown form. But in Changyou's build/version, these two weapons are in fact exclusive. After Founder's Pack sold out, Changyou's build will NEVER sell Nikana and Kunai Prime again, nor is it obtainable through drop.

I hope this clears it up amongst players.
As there are a lot of confussion with Global build players thinking "Umbra Excalibur" is just what DE calls Changyou's "Umbra Prime Excalibur", which in fact are two different frames.
EDIT: Credentials, I speak and read both traditional and simplified Chinese. So before you try to argue with google translate, know that I can read and understand the language perfectly fine.

The only thing you can speculate on, is whether or not Umbra series will be a skin, or an entirely different item with stats differences.
That's not the only reason why I wouldn't use it. I have Excalibur with 3 formas. Not gonna waste these and a potato on another Excalibur with different stats.

Even if you won't use, dosen't mean that alot of other people woult use Umbra excal. i have alos used 3 formas and a reactor, i would gladly do it on umbra excal and other umbra/prime frames that will come that i actually use.
If it is possible to farm him I may change my mind some day.
i do think the umbra's will be farmable. but where they will be farmable is probably on a sentients tileset, and if they don't have atileset yet. then they might be on OD maps
DE is currently locking down all threads about Umbra Excal's availability on the official forums, as they announced that they're going back to Changyou to confirm the exact details and will release a simultaneous updated explanation on how the exclusives will be offered to both China and everyone else.
That was last Friday. There has been no update yet. It seems like someone got confused or was overzealous on promising how the China exclusives would work.
