When Buying a Weapon From the Void Trader, Does he Give you a Weapon Slot?

I've done some Google'ing and looked around the wiki, but I can't find anything. Would love some clarification on this.

No he does not. Also, all weapons purchased from him do not come with bluetatoes either.

Only event and "gift" weapons come with their own slots, Platinum bought weapons aside obviously.
