Is Drakgoon any good these days?

Title says it all. Heard on youtube that it rocked, but I got it and it doesn't seem that great. Hard to tell if it got nerfed or I'm just using it wrong, but I'm considering just deleting it, though I wanted to see what you guys thought first.

What do you guys think of this weapon?

it's not that bad just the charge fire is annoying and yes there is better shotgun [boar prime] but anyway drakgoon is hell of a fun

I never really understood people's love for the Boar Prime. Bad accuracy, and coupled with a high fire rate on mediocre damage just means weak ammo economy. It's actually one of my least favorite shotguns in the entire game.

Drakgoon hits like a truck. Mod it right, can you can 1-shot level 40+ heavy units, and the innate punch-through lets you decimate rows of enemies, or those trying to stay in cover. Use Shotgun Spazz, and the charge time is around .5 second, making it a powerful and effective shotgun at any range.

with reduced spread and fire rate it's better[ammo economy and accuracy] and much easier to play than drakgoon. but yeah the damage is lower

I have never realised that people think that Drakgoon is hard gun to use. I love using it as it hits like truck, penetrates and you can snipe with it due no dmg falloff.

by hard i mean the charge trigger which makes lanka useless and me using penta rather than more powerful ogris

It's a decent shotgun. However, it does not scale well in late-game. I have a 3-forma one and the biggest issue with it compared to a lot of other shotguns is that it lacks the capacity to support any sort of serious combat before you have to reload. Compare to something like the Phage, which is just point and click, and you can sort of see why the charge mechanic isn't that hot on this gun.
