What are the top 3 warframes for endgame ?
Hello Tennos :3

So I've been playing this game for a few days now, and I feel like I'm getting the hang of it, and my question is: What are the top 3 most useful warframes for endgame ? I'm a lvl 21 mag, and I've now realized, it would be smarter to purchase warframes for endgame and then level those up as I go along, cause I don't wanna realize after 400 hours, I made a big mistake at step one. So what are the top 3 ones ?

Thank you.

Most frames are useful all the way to endgame, though ones that focus entirely on damage often suffer, since enemy health/armor just keeps going up, but your abilities only deal so much.

Basically, you'll want to look at frames that can keep themselves alive, either by finding ways to mitigate or negate damage, or by reducing enemy lethality through crowd control.

If I had to choose only 3, my most used Warframes for high levels in general are Rhino (tank), Nova (damage) and Nyx (crowd control).
Each frame has a different niche, and all are relatively usable.

Mag, for example, a lot of people undervalue, but in T4, the pulls and Bullet Detector in late waves become absolutely vital.

What you should be looking for are the top 3 that fit your playstyle, i.e.

Do you like explosions?
Do you like melee?
Do you like being support or utility?
Do you like being a tank?

rhino prime, loki prime, and nova I guess

nyx is great as well
For me:
Rhino (soak up damage)
Loki (dat Radial Disarm)
Ash (when I want to kill everyone)

Zephyr is pretty damn good too, but you know, THE 600 OXIUM.
Drago 16. Juni 2014 um 8:47
I would probably list Zephyr as one of the most capable endgame frames. She comes at a hefty cost, (the 600 oxium that's already been mentioned,) but she's built like a tank yet she comes with unparalleled maneuverability in the form of her first ability. She also has crowd control and self-protection abilities, just all-around a good balance.
Rhino, Nova, and Loki are all quite solid. The latter two are a bit low as far as health is concerned, but on a team that won't be an issue at all.
Rhino OP

Rhino is generally considered to be overpowered. All 4 of his skills are fairly decent at endgame, although ironskin will eventually not last long enough to be worth casting.

After Rhino, I'd say Nova simply due to M-Prime alone. Ridiculous slow, damage buff and explosive chain reaction all in one skill make her about as game breaking as Rhino. Antimatter drop is also a cheap but effective nuke if you have a decent weapon to power it.

The last one is tricky as a number of frames pretty much tie for third best frame for endgame content, and the forum can't really form a consensus beyond "Rhino and Nova OP". My vote goes to either Vauban or Nyx due to crowd control.

Corrupted mods somewhat mitigate this unless you are one of the players who like to go arbitarily high waves into defense or arbitarily long times in survival.

after 400 hours you should own every warframe. I'm not even at 300 and I can count on one hand the warframes I still need. (Steam time counts the game being open, warframe has their own counter that calculates how long you're actually playing missions)

Passed my 300 Hour mark today :P and I am only missing Hydroid and Loki Prime. Getting frames is now pretty easy. At max you need 10 runs on each boss and you will have all the BPs you need. As for Prime frames most of them can be traded for a little bit of plat. I think the hard part is actually investing the time into leveling them up and getting all the mods you need for their best builds.

By the time you reach 300 hours in you should have most warframes. I'm just under 300 accordding to warframe and I only have about 4 warframes left to snag.

As for endgame, Loki. He does not fall off no matter how long the game goes. You can go past min 40 in t4 keys and still be relevant.
Endgame frames are defined by their ability to scale without any limits
Sadly Rhino is not one off those frames when u reach the 30 minute mark ur Iron skin gets stripped within 5seconds off direct fire...and above 40...well its almost non existant

Recommended frames are those with nice reliable CC/ defensive abilities that dont require ''being in the line off fire''

Stealth frames : Loki and Ash, both off these frames go endgame no problem due to invis resing team, Loki will get u higher if u work with ur team...that Radial Disarm is AMAZING

Control Frames : Nyx Zephyr Hydroid Excalibro
These main 4 frames can get endgame with careful thinking...Nyx...well mind control is always amazing since enemies become ur minions, Zephyr's wind shield is pretty solid aswell...but those Tornado's can be a LIFE SAVER... Hydroid...well kraken CC, Puddle to contain hard hitting targets for your team... and Excalibro...yes good ole Excal is here Radial Blind with a proper efficiency + range build EVERYTHING is blind/stunned and u can take care off them...take care...they are BLIND not Deth <sry bad english so use Bows to not be shot at...or melee they will take 400% dmg for since they count has unalerted :D

Noticeable Frames : Trinity Rhino Vauban Nekros
No matter what team you are, these frames are still very usefull...Rhino for Stasis from stomp and roar to boost teams dps... Trinity...nerfed...but still gives Energy, still can tank pretty well, and a emergency heal if something goes south....Vauban...Bastille...10 max per field..who cares you will be happy if he just caught that napalm...disrupter heading your way... Nekros...orbs...orbs....orbs....life support... this guy...holds u guys up in ways no one can...and if need be can give u a bunch off meat bags with his army off the dead dudes :D

there are more frames but i just listed those that are seen often, and hope i have helped you :D

Well, you surely want to minimize damage in some way or another, especially with a mode like T4 survival where they hit like a truck. There are plenty of viable frames for late/end-game though I'll have to go with:

Excal: A build focused around Blind is a must. Along with the 4-5 sec initial stun of blind, you also have 10-15 sec blind, or more depending if you put on duration mods. Blind pretty much removes their ability to fire, or almost, since they'll then rely on sound to shoot at. Moas seem to usually be the least affected by Blind though they're still useless since they only shoot at an area with sound and can be taken down fairly quickly.

Loki: Like^^ said, Invis resing is helpful, though you'd want to have the build focused around Radial Disarm. It may not completely destroy their damage output but at least they won't have their guns and you can gain distance from them with how slow they run. A real must against hitscan enemies especially when you start to hit the higher-leveled enemies.

Note: Never have a Loki disarm then an Excal Blind. It'll ruin the purpose of Excal's blind since the enemies will still chase you and try to melee. Either take one or the other into a game.

Nova: Though it contradicts what I said about minimizing damage intake, you still want to have a Nova in the party for damage output. With how armor and health scales later in the waves, you'll wanna her to keep up with the scaling.

I can go on and on, but these are probably the best end/late-game I think of from the top of my head

I don't have enough warframe slots or weapon slots for that. And I can't afford to spend real life money on platinum. That's why I asked top 3.
I vote Trinity, actually. Though what I do requires a selection of quite hard to get mods and a dangerous playstyle, I can still get her to give the squad 100% invincibility for 20 seconds or so, and never run out of energy.

Though I haven't played for a while, so I dunno if that was patched.
