Why do the Tenno / Warfame(s) .... look ugly?

Look ugly.... that is just so subjective. So far there hasn't seen any frame that I thought was outright ugly.

I kinda don't like how oberon looks, he's cool but not *thaaat* cool... but ugly, i don't think so... i mean c'mon you're calling saryn, excalibur and frost ugly???
And nekros, oh maaan nekros is just amazing, spooky, very fine detailed, he's the best looking warframe with his hood and stuff it just fits him sooo well and you find that ugly too....

There are a few ugly designs yes, but the whole bunch is far from ugly, i find Mirage, Ember, Nyx, Nova, Trinity, Saryn and many more very sexy in their own way.

I used to see the Warframes as ugly before I played it. Used to look at trailers and think, "gawdangit they look yuck", but once a friend convinced me to play and explained a few mechanics to me I became hooked, regardless of what I thought of my frames appearance.
Now, nearly 400 hours of play later, I don't find them ugly at all.

They're unusual by our normal every-day standards yes, but their visual design makes sense for what their abilities are. They aren't designed for sex appeal (although some may argue that otherwise), nor are they designed to be eye candy or even done in a way that makes sense to our depiction of 'fashion', they're designed as they are because they represent their powers and it's that appearance that gives them their personality.

No Tenno ever speaks, in fact the only one that makes any sound at all is Valkyr and all she ever does is shout, but even so, players get a good impression of what kind of person resides beneath the armour, if they were just latex bodysuits with gadgets and things stuck on them they'd be as boring and bland as 90% of the protagonist in today's terrible AAA game market, but as they they have all the personality they could ever need, and that's what makes them beautiful.
