When I click on the purchase button at the official site Im redirectioned to steam where an error appears , help?

You might have glitched out pending transaction that blocks you from purchasing. I'd suggest going to your Steam Transaction page and looking there for one that has "Error" or "Failed" next to it. Right click on it and delete. Should be fixed after that.

Probably a cookie that hasn't been set, or it's been set previously for a different version of the web-applets, or has an outdated certificate, etc.

Try logging into steam via web, and then log out again?

edit: ^or, what Vulbjørn says. Pretty sure Steam happily will duplicate your purchases if you click any button twice, though >_<

Then again, you could start trading all your bling in the trading channel - didn't realize people pay plat for all kinds of things.

#1 add money to your Steam wallet through steam.
#2 then buy platinum through market interface.
If things are still in error try lowering or changing your security settings in IE "Temporarily" as to let steam do its thing.
Steam likes and uses IE ....ugh...

for future reference please copy or screenshot all "errors" as to help you and anyone helping you.
