So people can just unlock all the planets by being taxi'd to each boss and defeat them?
Just wow, this is kinda a huge design flaw, makes me lose most motivation to progress if I can just have someone drag me to each planet boss and unlock them this way, I thought it was a bug at first but nope just one huge design flaw, on that note can someone drag me to each planets boss so I can unlock everything and be done to?

Well, you still need to unlock mission nodes on these planets :spycon:

Story missions right? Yeah I thought that too but NOPE, you can actually just get taxi'd to whatever missions you need to do, so its basically skipping a huge portion of the game.

You still have to do the other missions to unlock everything else on the planet. And good luck being able to do anything on those planets when your gear is weak because you skipped so much and never gathered credits/exp/mods.

And story missions are almost nothing in the grand scheme of the game. They can be done in hours, and have almost no worth except to obtain a couple of specific frames. Warframe isn't about "beating the story".

Taxing newbies to high level bosses is pretty bad. You spend more time reviving them than actually shooting stuff.

I know but my arguement is that if they don't want to do said missions and want to skip right to the end that option is there for them, they skip a huge chunk of the game doing this but it allows them to get access to all the planets and then move on.

yeah, thats ok, you cant survive on those planets so there is no flaw or whatever

It's not really skipping a chunk of the game. It's like saying in a typical MMO that you can bring your low-level friend into an end-game raid, but in the end, they have loot they can't use, and they're still completely under-leveled, and if they went back, they'd just get stomped.

They've skipped nothing; they've just glimpsed future battles.

Doing the bosses just gives them access to the planet, they still have to do the most of the nodes to be able to do alerts and invasions.

Not to mention that if they skip through the system their frame would be too weak due to the lack of mods to handle the nodes anyways.

You're complaining about a design flaw that DE has admitted is a design flaw, hence the starchart revamp that will be coming to us sometime down the road. You're wasting your finger energy.
Basser Aug 26, 2015 @ 8:05pm
People skip some maps because many of those are useless, which IS known by DE, thus why they're going to change the map eventually anyways.

But people being able to do so, is actually preventing new people that don't have said map from missing something, like a specific reward from an alert just because they haven't played enough. Also, there's a few bonuses (although minimal) to unlocking all nodes in a planet.

Why do you care so much about what other people skip or don't skip?

So what if the planets are unlocked. If they don't have the nodes unlocked, they won't see alerts. If they can't do the content on that planet, so what. How is that any concern of yours?

I got a taxi to Jupitor at some point, but who ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cares? Did it spill some juice on your carpet>?

No I just get tired of dealing with scrubs that have no damn clue what the hell there are doing because they are too lazy to do the damn content and end up getting stomped in a squad because they are clearly not ready for the place they are at, Ive pretty much stopped reviving people whom I think are under geared for a high level, and you can pretty much tell from the shortcut profile with MR, but I didn't know DE admitted this was a mistake, but it makes sense that you'd have to be completely braindead not to notice a huge design flaw like that.

You get mastery the first time you complete every mission. There's your incentive.
