Which one? Is Lex and Sicarus Prime good? Or which one is actually the best and highest damaging secondary weapon?

Since the syndicate variation gammacor was brought down from its borderline stupid levels the most popular high end secondary is probably the syndicate (vaykor) marelock, although the Lex prime is pretty similar and probably easier to get a hold of for newer players. If you don't want to farm / trade for either the regular marelock is still very good and is clan research, unlocking to use about MR 5 from memory.

Some people prefer the machine pistols style, but I find they don't scale up well or feel as satisfying personally. There are various random alternatives people could pull out like the dread (throwing knives), or a secondary using a syndicate augment but I'd say they aren't as mainstream high end.

tl;dr- vaykor marelock = probably best, regular marelock = great and relatively easy to get, lex prime = alternative very strong and all three of those are single fire pistols because I like them most but they are also the more popular options you see in high end stuff like the raids

The sonicor turns the game into a ridiculous cakewalk for the first 20 minutes. Its still strong afterwards but dmg-wise it does fall of at some point. But you´ll be playing short missions alot, so that shouldn´t concern you as much.

There is a huge disadvantage however: Once you start using the sonicor, you´ll be using it alot. You´ll be one-hitting almost everybody and you don´t even need to aim, due to the AOE. You might get "spoiled". I am.

The sonicor is great and all but it requires like 5 forma to do well, otherwise it can be a hastle ragdolling priority targets like infested healers. Mine is able to handle level 30+ eximus enemies right now. If you're looking for a raid weapon, I still go back to my acrid, I use the Perrin Sequence mod on it which gives it some aoe and I love the status effect and the buff it gives.

-High Damage Low - Mid Tier
-Passive Proc That Can Earn You Equal Kills To Other Players On A Draco Without Shooting.
-Free Energy All The Time
-Easy To Use

Cons
-Short - Mid Range (Unless You Lose Some Damage For Range... Not Worth IMO)
-Heavy On The Ammo ( I Use Ammo Mod And Carrior To Keep It Topped Up @ All Times)
-No Skill ( Its A Freaking Lazer | No Head Shot Try Harding Needed )
*Might Make You Love It So Much It Turns Into Your GOTO Primay For All Low-Mid Tier Content

Thats about all I can think of. I also have the merlock but can't be bothered with headshots. If I wanted to do such a thing I would just use a bow or another heavy damage headshot weapon like Latron Prime.

*Be care taking advice from players who used this before it was nurfed. You could use the gammacore for all game content and was no need to ever use anything else. They seem to still be about it and can't let the past go. I still have friends that refuse to change from the old build and well who is to blame when you are using a bad built for the guns current state. Get over it already I would say.

With this first build you can use it to 40 min on T4S np. Then bust out the big guns.

Also, to Big Boss - apparently we won't get Aklex Prime because DE wants "each prime weapon to feel unique and special on their own and akimbo version kinda ruins it"... despite already having akimbo Bronco. Don't ask, I have no idea.

Now that... That's just silly, to put it lightly. I thought it was more along the lines of not wanting to stuff the Void full of stuff. Though now that the Void's suppossed to pull a big bang, maybe they might add more to the new star chart? Gah, me just being hopeful.

If you're new, get the Sonocor BP from the market and use it. It knocks everything over so you will have to put damage mods on it but Im just 2 weeks into the game and swear by it

Sicarus (and prime) is gahbage.

Lex Prime is great- one of the best secondaries atm.

- Lex Prime good on sniper crit build as it high base dmg and high critical chance
- Sicarus Prime for me just meh when compare to another secondary weapons but oh well it just my imo anyway

I love my Sonicor. With blast proc I use it on Draco and send Grineer into low orbit. Couple seconds later and it's raining men

Sonicor is hands down my fave. Status build gives lots of procs for me and I love things flying everywhere. It's got good damage behind it, but while not the best, it's super fun to play with.

Lex prime is pretty good on it's own, with primed pistol gambit & primed target cracker it's a nice hand cannon.

Atomos can be made pretty good if you have primed heated charge.

vaykor marelock is a good crit build weapon

Rakta Ballistica is also a good crit build weapon but I'm not to keen on charge up weapons.

Brakk still a good gun I haven't used mine in a bit.

Detron not to bad. Mara detron a little bit better.

Sonicor can be modded pretty well it's fun to mess around with.

apparently with the pvp reload mods, the akbronco prime is in a very good spot. It can reach 100k burst DPS.

The only time I use my secondary, is when i'm laying on the floor and waiting for rez.
If you're only using primary/melee more often than secondary, then choose what ever you feel sounds well or just looks great. That's just my humble opinion.
