I'd recommend Prisma, as it's almost on par with Soma Prime, being somewhere in between Soma and Prime variant. If you don't have an access to Gorgon Wraith already - it's not even a choice, as Wraith variants obtainable only from the events.
I recommend the Prisma version. More rounds, only two less damage, five more crit chance, higher accuracy, and higher fire rate. It's generally the better weapon (with the Gorgon Wraith having some slight advantages over the Prisma).
That said, why not do both at your discretion? It's not like Forma are that hard to come by anyway.
A. don't enjoy using.
B. it already has a superior version?
Maximum I did with Wraith is leveled it for mastery points. Plus I can paint Prisma gorgeous purple.
Good point. That's the OP's choice, based on aesthetic, how he/she feels the weapon preforms, and what they see as an advantage to their playstyle. The weapons are rather close on the ol' statline.
Prisma weapons always seem to have the issue of not having the Prisma effect (wibbly wobbly space magic flowing over the weapon) when colored anything but solid black. Always has annoyed me with anything Prisma. And Wraith and Vandal weapons, as far as I remember, can't be recolored.
