How long to farm for syndicate weapons?

I want the Vaykor Marelok and I was just wondering if I should trade plat for it or if it's worth going through the syndicate ranks to get.

Definetly trade plat for it.

Leveling Syndicates would take so much longer then trading some Void items for Plat and buying it.

depends, if ur with steel just keep lvlin it and get it eventually

Thanks. After looking at the sacrifice requirements for Steel Meridian I've definitely decided to just buy it.

Well, your mastery rank plays a big role on how quickly you can gain syndicate rep per day to get their stuff.

Example:
If you're MR20 and start at neutral standing, focus solely on spending all your daily rep on Steel Meridian + do all three SM alert missions + Red Veil alert missions + spend all their medals...
You'll have maxed out SM top rank in 2 weeks.

The lower your MR, the longer this will take hence why MR REALLY matters here.


edit: since you're in the negative with SM, you are better off buying / trading for it. Flipping syndicate sides takes a very long time.
