Tips for solo-ing Jordas Golem
EDIT: Answered. Thanks for all the advice (~ ._.) ~

Just tackled the Golem assassination mission twice. The first time I got frustrated because I'm blind and spent 10 minutes trying to find the engine Ordis was yelling at me to attack, which I found almost immediately on my second attempt. The only Archgun I have worth using is Velocitus (I have Grattler building in my Foundry, and I don't have all the parts to make the other weapons), and though I was able to get a decent chunk of the Golem's health before giving up, I'd find myself getting greedy and taking one or two more shots at him than I should have, and getting status'd to hell once the roaming Infested caught up with me. The Archwing I was using was Elytron. Even though I don't have it maxed out yet, I have maxed out hp/shield mods on it, making it my tankiest archwing.

So... my list of questions is as follows:

Stick with tanky Elytron or switch to Itzal?

Which gun is most efficient against Golem?

Is the general idea just "get in a few hits, fly around, be patient, get in a few hits, rinse and repeat," or is there a better way to do it?

Should I bother taking out the other Infested or just keep running away from them?

Whenever I see people recruiting, they specifically ask people to bring CP- should I bother, or should I just stick with Rejuvination for increased survivability, or possibly go for Energy Siphon so that I can use abilities to take out whatever Infested follow me?

About CP - you should probably bother, because Golem is VERY tanky, and his tankiness comes from armor. This also means that weapons like Grattler will be very effective against it (I was dealing 203-301 damage per shot without any mods installed to engines). A good idea would be to bring Itzal and blink behind it when it slowly waddles across his thunderdome, having Cosmic Crush to deal with trash enemies, they're almost no threat anyways (if you're moving at least at medium speed around). There is a possibility that he will stick to the floor longer if somebody floats in front of it's nose, forcing it pay attention to it and not just float away like a sack of guano he is, but it needs confirmation.

Using this tactic I was able to take him down (with completely unmodded Grattler and without CP, mind that) in roughly 6-7 minutes. Final verdict: would fly next to majestic bloated space mecha-whale another time again.

Itzal. Yes Itzal! It could make your life so much easier. Another reason why I use Itzal is because when the boss uses that orange explosion aoe skill, you could fly outta the area (1st skill) when you see it coming. Basically you're just going to use Itzal's 1st and 2nd skill here in this fight.
Velocitus with crit build, corrosive + magnetic could hit 60k (crit)
CP it all the way, if you need energy, you could always pop some energy restores. I notice that CP could make the fight easier.

And dont spend time killing the mobs, just go for the boss. Cheeeers!

Stay behind him he can't really hit you, only damage you'll take will be to adds. I'm 2/3 parts and lack the stupid Vandal Imperator :/ Otherwise it'd be faster.

Yep very easy, albeit slow, with Itzal. You don't even need to cloak. Just teleport behind him.

Mhm. Blink was pretty much the only ability I used, aside from the few times the mobs following me annoyed me enough to make me use my ult, but that was only once or twice.

4x cp, gratler, odonata (for dps buff)
He goes down under 1 min

Grattler even without CP(though you should get that) + Odonata for the shield damage buff and he is toast.

Soloed it using Itzal, Grattler and no CP equipped - that was pretty easy. It's just my default loadout lately and, apparently, it's a good combo for fighting Golem, as people say.

That was not even necessary to use blink or other skills most of the time tho. Essence is just to avoid his projectiles and nearby drones, if you are squishy.

Maybe CP is must have if you wanna go for 10+runs and defeat it extra quick, but with no CP equipped it took me about 1-2 mins to bring the Gomel down. Quick enough.

I am going to try different archwing and weapon this time, i'll let you know the results later.

EDIT: Just got it done using Odonata + Imperator vandal, still no CP. That was quick and easy as well.

At some point, Imperator is more handy than Grattler, because it's a hit scan weapon and you can just shot those engines from far away. But Grattler is a massive dmg since you got there. so those guys (Grattler and imperator vandal) are kinda the same effective. So i think, weapon does not matters, its always the same time but slightly different tactics.

IN GENERAL, KEY TO WIN IS: Just be sure you got all your equipement maxed (got a catalyst or reactor in, maybe 1-2 formas as well), to bring your dmg to a noticable level.

All the problems are from weak equipement.

P.S. Don't forget you can shot Golem's engines while he is on the move, also you can get successful hit from a 90 degrees angle to engines, no need to be right behind Golem. Good luck.

Never use the Fluctus. I love the fluctus, but the golem is completely immune to it. Found that out the hard way. Apparently it has something to do with AOE weapons hitting the center of enemies rather than their weak points.

Well the Grattler is a AoE and hits more or less all the weak spots, resulting in multihits from each bullet. Combined with Odonata shield damage buff he just gets melted, and that is from a non formad Grattler mind you.
