How good are the "DLC" packs?
hi, i am currently downloading the game and will be trying it out soon. seeing as how i like the concept and enjoy the style of game and assuming i will continue to like the game enough to keep playing, how much of an edge would buying one of the DLC packs be?

i understand it's basically currency i am buying and not new content per se, but i would like some guidance on what would be the most "bang for my buck." (such as, do i get a better deal with the 99 dollar pack vs the 50ish, etc.)

also, i understand i am launching this through steam, but does warframe have its own store with its own currency packs? if so, are any of those deals better than what steam has?

thank you very much!

I highly recommend not buying one unless they go on sale for 50% off or more. You can also get discounts from login rewards for simple plat-only purchases; up to 75%.

Don't listen to this. These "DLC Packs" are not that great, they're only mediocre packs thrown into Steam for whatever reason. The better packages come from their official website, because you can be lucky enough to get a discount as a login reward in game, which you can then use to cut off your next purchase for the next 24/48 hours.

I bought all of them from another site with a stacking discount when they were on sale for 75% off (I think it was 75% +%20 off). Good deal for me, not sure they would have been worth it otherwise.

Unlike the packs you buy in game they come with random mods, which are usually trash.

Site please, want to keep an eye for a sale. So far never purchased by principle of requiring a discount. Only gotten 25% so far

so i played the game a bit and like it enough to keep playing. i checked the site for plat packs and there's a 200 dollar one with some mods or stuff thrown in. are you guys saying that if i wait for a 75% off login reward, i can apply that towards the $200 pack?

Yes.

Yep. However, 75%s are the rarest, of course, so don't feel bad about maybe getting the package below that one if you get a 50% off instead.

Here's a tip. The way these log in rewards work is that they're supposed to get "better" the more consecutive days you sign in to get them. Days 1 and 2 have the smallest amount of rewards, and most of them are very small amounts of XP. However, the 20%,50% and 75% discounts do exist here. Days 3-6 have several more rewards, with higher amounts of XP. However, with these increased number of rewards, the chance to get a discount is much lower. Same with Day 7+, there are many more possible rewards to come from there, reducing the chance even further to gain a discount, and a good one at that. So, a common thing to practice is to miss a day every now and then. Reset your consecutive daily log ins, so that you start back at Day 1, and have a much higher chance of obtaining one of those discounts.

Don't waste your money. Just earn everything ingame by collecting prime parts and rare mods then sell them to other players.

Basically.
You don't even need to buy plat at all.... I'd say 90% of the people I play with have not, yet still have every cosmetic item, every weapon, etc.
It is extremely easy to earn play via trading.

This.

Only buy plat if you really feel like you need it. the game can have a slow start for a new player and can make u bored in the beginning but if u hang in there then keep on playing and eventually u will be as rich on plat as everyone else.

Making plat is really easy with getting access to the void and then selling prime recipes or mods that are highly wanted by others for plat. :-)

Plat can help you get a more exciting start but as suggested above then wait until u get a plat deal ingame (usually comes if u stay away from the game for a few days then login) and then buy some. :-)

Game is super fun. lotta grinding tho but with variety in your arsenal even the grind can be fun.

prime access in the store it good for sure. I think one of the prime access packs has volt prime, vectis prime, carrier prime, a lot of plat and special accessories. That or wait for a daily login bonus of 75% discount of your next plat purchase

Volt Prime pack is long gone lol...if anything he has to wait for the Trinity one. But since he's new, I don't know... it's a lot of money.

The legend is real...after being away for a long time, just logged in, boom 75% off. I like this game so I wanted to put money into it but held off until I got this.
