Companion AI should be more efficient when it comes to combat. Maybe and just MAYBE then I will use them more. Right now I have ignored Companions for years. They only cause trouble to me because I forget to unequip them for Riven challenge or I can't see ♥♥♥♥ while sneaking or they alert enemies or some other ♥♥♥♥ that only makes me rip hair off my bald head.
Using Companions for damage is a fools errand anyways, frames and weapons have the capability to overkill enemies by trillions of times. There's no reason to take companions to kill things.
Of course i dont mean to use him for damage. I want him to prime enemies with viral so basicly i can deal more damage. Thats what it is about.
By the way i recommend you to see nautlus build with his verglas weapon on youtube that can kill lvl 9999 on steel path. Comapanions can deal real damage :)
There is no point using companions for more damage or using panzer as a primer with viral, because if you can kill a target with a single shot that deals 1 million damage, the target is going to die even if you dealt 100 billion damage.
When you get to the point where you can kill any enemy any level in SP with a frame/weapon, there is no point in trying to add even more damage onto said frame or weapon because the enemy is dying regardless of the extra damage you added, making it pointless damage. Survivability or utility is what you should focus on.
...And yes, ranged companions are much more powerful after the first companion rework since they never stop attacking, however they are still fragile.
But thats the point bro. To be able to deal billion of damage you keep adding multiplicative damage. You can mode your wepaon for viral/slash for example... BUT you can also make your companion a viral primer and mod your weapon for corrosive. This way you have more elemental damage and moredamage overall. Anyway i get your point as well.
Thanks for help <3
Haha looks like DE read my post haha
thanks bro
Nice! Personally I'm flying through the map and my beast can never keep up. Looks like those changes should solve most of GameAddict's (and my) problems with beasts.
- Pets would previously follow behind you while moving, which made it harder to notice them around and put them further away from enemies when combat started. Pets will now try to lead you instead, staying a few meters ahead while you are moving so they are ready to attack when combat starts.
- Base speed of companions with legs has been significantly increased
- Pets would previously choose targets in a complete circle around the player. This means that when using their abilities or making attacks, they weren't even on screen so it was hard to appreciate them being useful. This has been tuned so that pets will prefer to choose targets that are near you and in your field of view.
- When selecting a new target to attack, pets now gain a speed boost on their way to the target while off-screen (to reduce the time it takes them to engage).
- Improved pet animations while following the player through bullet jumps and double jumps so that they animate more quickly and fluidly.
