can we get auto leave squad?
not to be toxic or anything. repeating party missions can be a pain if i have to wait for my squad to accept the lobby first.
i prefer to get constant randos qhen queueing. feels more consistent.

Step 1: You want to set your maximum ping to 100, so it will most likely won't find any game sessions near you and it will make you the host, and then people with the ping limit set to 200 or 300 will join your game.

Step 2: Move your ethernet wire and that will dissconect any players in your squad if you're hosting, it is a good way of kicking entire squads if someone that you don't like joined your squad or they were being useless.

Note: It also works if you're not hosting, but that will kick you out from their squad instead, which will trigger another game session with only you in the squad, so more people can join that new squad of yours. Edit: Disconnecting and connecting your Wi-Fi also works, obviously.

I think the OP is talking about leaving the group after a mission. In which case there is no "accept the lobby" waiting period. It's just your own loading time, based on your own connection and system speed. As soon as you're loaded, you can leave the group, regardless of if other people are still loading.

As someone who doesn't have the fastest system, I see it happen all the time, as other people will leave the group while I'm still loading into the orbiter after a mission.

While there might not be an auto option; you should be able to press escape and then select leave party from the menu or press the leave party option from the party status display at the top of the screen when back in the Orbiter.

Id like to see this as a opt-in option in system settings.
auto disconnecting from current squad would help you rotate missions faster, they could even implement a choice to stay with member on the reward screen or right click in chat. some players do tend to go afk straight after a mission without leaving the current squad.
I know leaving current squad is super easy with a few clicks but a "auto leave on mission completion" would help with a little more convenience during gameplay that muchly anticipated flowing gameplay.

How about a BIG button to leave during the Reward screen

I thought they added this in. Every squad I have been in has disbanded at the end of the mission since the patch.

I think it's not supposed to work this way. Before the update i've always been in the squad after a mission or a bounty had been completed but now i almost always end up solo as if the host left and the squad disbanded, like 80%. Don't really care as i'd leave regardless but as a matter of fact, i think it might be some bug.

So neither of you read patch notes and somehow haven't heard of it either. In particular, the person reviving a months old thread asking for a feature that was already added is definitely something.
"Top Changes
...Random Squads will now be disbanded after missions, and only pre-made squads will remain intact after mission completion.
This’ll save those public matchmaking Tenno a couple of extra steps to leave a random squad before hopping into the next mission.
If you wish to continue with the players from public squads , you can always find them in your Recent Players list in the Friends screen. Reinvite them into your squad to continue lifting together without disbandment.
This does not apply to Sorties and Archon Hunts so that squads can remain together for all 3 missions." -Update 38.5: Techrot Encore patch notes.

I have never read patch notes for this game. I have played off and on since beta. This will not change.

That is great news though. Having to leave the random squad every single mission got old a long time ago. Massive win for DE. Many thanks to the dev team.

whats funny is that the post i made was written in sep 24. where i believe the patch wasnt implemented yet. evidently older comments also agreed with it.

and these ppl commenting 9 hours ago as if the post was made today.

Should I make a new thread about what a good change this was?

Locking thread as it revived an old topic, and is being taken out of context.
