They disturb the general flow of gameplay by repositioning enemies for long periods of time. Limbos rift mechanics on enemies or Titania and Xakus (or was it revanent? I can never remember) single target CC that makes enemies invulnerable are disruptive in the same way.

I dont mean theyre bad for game health or unfun to play with, just that they slow things down.
edit: And i say this as someone who runs range/duration on my hydroid prime. A ton of people just ignore the CC'd enemies because they cant melee through them.
dumb comment.

Out of all the loot frames i tend to use the following.
Nekros for groups
Atlas for solo
Khora & Hydroid if the others are not needed
Ivara only in a specific and dedicated group.

Hydroid has 100% Khora has 60% loot chance. Isn`t Hydroid the better option or what am I missing?

Doesn't Hydroid have tentacles kill the enemy to proc? Players who kill the suspended enemies negate.

It worked that way at one point, but not any more. So long as the tentacles are holding an enemy, they increase the loot, regardless of what gets the kill.

From Hotfix 17.0.4[warframe.fandom.com]
The Pilfering Swarm Augment Mod will now generate drops for enemies that are slain being held by tentacles, not just dying from the tentacle’s appearing. In short, enemies don't need to be killed by the tentacles to have an added drop chance.

I see you've never been in a Hydron,Sedna run with a wide-range Hydroid player.

You end up wasting more time running around and peering into the corners of ceilings trying to find tentacle'd enemies, instead of just being able to kill everything as they move towards you.

Hydroid is probably fine in single-player, but is annoying to be with in multiplayer.

If you can kill 2x faster than Khora......... even with the tentacle rework i find him unreliable .
Better Strangledome and whip.
IMHO.

In terms of Khora vs. Hydroid, Hydroid can hold a maximum of 20 enemies at once whereas Khora does not have a cap holds 26.
Khora can also place two strangledomes at once, and Khora's strangledomes default towards slash damage.
Probably most importantly- Khora's actually faster at killing stuff.

I prefer hydroid (and before that I prefer Nekros), but she has a case.

Awesome! Thanks!

Atlas is probably better than all of them but need a high str build.

Having all 3, I would say Nekros, Then Hydroid, then Khora. Nekros is the best, best toolkit, smoothest gameplay. If you don't like invincible allies, use the accessibility options to give them an outline so you can easily see which are friendly targets. Otherwise, he has boatloads of ammo due to the improved drops so he's a great frame for ammo-hungry weapons like explosives, and phantasma. He has great CC, and armor stripping, and can be quite tanky with augments.

While I like playing Khora as a warframe, I find strangledome just annoying because the enemies keep bouncing and spinning around, making them harder to hit. They need to give it Hydroid's treatment where it holds the enemies still.

Hydroid I don't play often, but after his overhaul, he's just better than Khora. Way better tech, easier to use, just a better frame overall, especially for farming.

It'd be nice if Khora held them more still, but... khora has whipclaw.
You just have to hit a single enemy with a 10m wide explosion and the whole strangledome should get nuked.
Or, since the strangledome radius and the whip radius are always the same, just whip the center nonstop. No aiming required.

nekros and khora are far less annoying for look cuz hydroid spreads them out a ton and makes meleeing his tentacled victims annoying
fair point to be honest

If you run Nekros try to avoid heat status on weapons and companions (and possibly freeze/shatter? not sure on this one) these destroy corpses and prevent his ability from functioning
