However I did notice that sentinels are far more accurate than moas with weapons for some reason. Weird. I like Moas.
I'm currently using Kubrows a lot, because I never really used them. Even though I have all of them.
Sentinels shoot down whereas Moa shoot up. They all try aim for headshots and why their accuracy varies considerably. Sentinels miss the head but can still hit the body for instance.
As for OPs question my companion varies depending on what frame I'm using. I can't remember all the breeds and special abilities so this'll be descriptive.
With Hildryn I use the Kubrow with the shield recharge. It is enough recharge to keep all the channeling going.
With melee characters such as Kullevo I like the Kubrow that has hunt and stalk, though I don't use stalk. That Kubrow is combat focused and with mods it helps boost combo count and keep me healthy. This also works with many of the other breeds.
For general play I use either a Hound with the spark ability and a weapon built with as many different damage types. With different mods that spark spreads status effects of those types all round the room. If there are also going to be a lot of Eximus it can weaken thier overshields.
Other general play I use Dethcube as it can provide both energy and health orbs with mods. Give it a weapon that never stops firing so it can 'tag' as many opponents as possible.
I also love Kubrows with the full Mecha set as it gives a target in the chaos and the status proc spread can be devastating.
There are many different situations where different companions excel. Sometimes it's just fun trying to work that out instead of going straight to the meta.
Did I see that right and did they change respawns for sentinels? I've been gone for a while so I'm just getting used to all the changes.
Other than that some people are completionists.
The new weapon stances for Kubrows means I can take Huras Kubrow with Limbo and do Spy missions with ease, being invisible to cameras and motion sensors and intangible to laser wires and sensor fields
People just love to do pointless things see?

1 = Investigator
8 = Targeting Receptor / Assault Mode.
2->7 = Vacuum, Vicious Bond, Guardian, Animal Instinct, (the mod that adds heat damage that I can't remember the name of), etc.
By putting Investigator in the first spot, Helios will prioritise scanning over doing murder. :-)
Edit: https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Vicious_Bond is for if you use Deconstructor weapon. If you use Veriglass, you'll want to pick other things - probably Momentous Bond.
As for the others...
While all companions work thanks to the base changes, these ones all have precepts or features that make them slightly better than the alternatives IMO.
I don't think other companions are worth running over these outside of a couple very niche situations (though I'd love to be wrong about that and welcome suggestions).
They are listed in no particular order. If I had to pick a 'best' one it would likely be Nautilus. Grouping is OP.
Thanks, I'll try that.
