you could just do it solo and do 1 or 2 thermia fractures and extract its not that hard to defend it

1. Play solo or ask your clan if you're new to the game.
2. Drop 4 canisters near the the fracture.
3. Place all the canisters in the fracture to start the mission.

It really only takes like an hour to get all the rewards.

Maybe I'm just peeved that there isn't any faction cred for the task considering the amount of time it takes to carry four cans

To be clear you only need to do a bit over 14 fractures. The event comes around every couple week and saves your progress if you can't finish it all right now.

Faction cred at least would make a lot of sense considering why we are doing the task in the first place. I wouldn't mind at least some kind of reward outside the thermia itself, needed for running Exploiter.
