I am at MR30 myself, have played for about three or more years (not 24/7), but I am also lazy and have spent a lot of time not really levelling up to as high of a rank as possible. I spent a lot of time at MR27 (still accumulating affinity, so I could have taken the tests, but didn't feel like losing that gold MR icon) before willing myself back into grinding extra affinity for the rank 30 rewards. A lot of that effort went into grinding "scraps" like ranking Kuva weapons and Necramechs beyond lv30, and... leveling up... K-Drives...
All I can say is that the higher you go the slower things get because each rank requires more mastery and the amount of easily obtainable weapons gets lower and lower.
For example I had been playing for three years (with large breaks during that time) before I could reach MR30 but for a fair amount of that time there were simply no way to reach the next MR.
The time it would take you to reach MR30 now would depends of how much plat you could earn in order to get vaulted stuff. Add a fair bit of rng on top of that (I remember a guy that I been playing for years and I hadn't been able to obtain a Brakk).
But as new items get added over time and a fair bunch of them stay available forever it should get easier and easier over time.
