December with no specific day given. I assume Christmas.

Sometime in December, probably on a Tuesday or Wednesday, and probably not Christmas because DE always has to do ten hotfixes per big patch and they wouldn't want to force people to work over new year (I hope)

That makes sense and I hope you're right. I just assume Christmas because access to Hollvania Mall ends early December I think. I assume there is going to be a gap between the time that access ends, and the release of 1999.

Or they drop it right in time for the holidays and then wait 2 weeks to start getting hotfixes in. Wouldn't be the first time.

Not that I'm ragging on them for it; I'm patient.

I swear this has got to be the most unprofessional company. Like every studio will be like "Get ready, new update coming 21st of December!"

Then there's DE who are like "MIGHT be sometime in December, don't keep your hopes up, we might delay because some members of our team didn't finish something, it's done when it's done."

They really need to hire proper managers/team leaders/supervisors to keep things organised and complete in time.

That's the issue, this toxic positivity and patience, people enable this sort of behaviour and descend onto those who are vocal and let DE know they can do better.

Trust me, go into work, lay back and tell your manager you will get your tasks done eventually and not when the deadline is, and when you do finish your work late, send it in with a tonne of errors.

When he has a go at you and asks you to correct some mistakes, take a 2 week holiday and collect a group of co-workers to insult and shout at the manager for even daring to request you correct your mistakes and do better.

See how long you keep your job.

Lots of studios these days make really vague timeframes for updates, especially for F2P games. I'm currently waiting on the DLC for Grim Dawn which has the timeframe of "We're likely going to have to postpone it to somewhere in 2025."

Same way companies that do give an exact date these days almost never actually release on that day, either delaying it by a few days last second or by weeks in advance.

Or, you can build planes, cars, and trains with duct tape to meet your "deadline".

Also see how long you keep your job.

Seems to be going pretty well for Boeing, so long as you don't say anything, cause then it's "mysterious suicide" for you.

Still find it really funny in a sad way that someone saw all the issues Boeing has had and decided "Yep, these are the guys we're going to hire to make us a spacecraft."
