Contacted warframe support about how long a chat ban lasts got 2 weeks of account ban instead

are we ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ serious im sorry that saying the word gay at all in general gets my chat banned for atleast longer than the 5 days ive been chat banned so i say ok ill goto support to see if i can get a timeframe they decide to straight up ban me for 2 weeks for 0 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reason

why not just chat like an normal polite person with out saying something that will flag for ban in warframe chat ? everyone know warframe chat are very strict for very good reason.

different cultures have different rules for whats "polite".
the term "gay" is not an insult until some snowflake that enjoys their victim role too much makes it one.

Yea, it literally means(and is interchangeable with) happy, unsure how it came to be used for different purposes, probably the uneducated with no idea what it meant in all likelihood though. As long as OP was using it properly, it's no cause for a ban.

Probably wasn't using it properly though, that in itself is cause enough for a couple weeks free time to take an english class with :P

Insult -> permanent account ban
Misuse -> temporary account ban
Use in proper context -> will likely still get you chat banned because bots don't differentiate

no you guys dont get what im saying so ill put this the exact way i dealt with it.

i say gay in region chat and get banned ok that sucks but i guess i can see it.

it has been 5 days and i still cant use ANYTHING using the chat box no trading no recruit no clan chat nothing.

so i decide to contact support on warframes website and submit a ticket asking how long it would last this is what I SAID.

"I was suspended in region chat for saying the word gay i now understand it is a blacklisted word from the bots however i dont know how long my chat suspension will last and was wondering what the timeframe is?"

this is what WARFRAME RESPONDED

"It has come to our attention that you have been involved in one or more instances of making/promoting a comment that could easily be considered to be derogatory towards a race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, religion, age, or disability.

Digital Extremes has a zero-tolerance policy towards the propagation or endorsement of hate speech. Warframe is not an appropriate forum for discussion of topics outside of the game itself.

After much consideration, we have decided to give you another chance to play the game. A 2 week suspension has been placed on your account. We endeavor to keep Warframe open and welcoming for all users so please understand that a second instance of this activity will lead to a permanent account ban.

Code Of Conduct: Respect for all in Warframe

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding."

so after asking a question on how long my chat suspension lasted i instead get a 2 week account ban for a punishment im already serving.

this cant be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ real your basically telling me i get banned for using warframe support cause i can guarantee i wouldnt get a 2 week ban if i didnt contact them

btw context for saying gay someone was doing smash or pass and i said id be gay for grendel

Seems to me like the bot that answered your support ticket saw the same blacklisted word, and took action upon it. (because no, those aren't humans responding to support tickets the vast majority of the time)

no i get it, your ban was extended when you sending sad mail to support ,this might not your first ban, or Support team want you to learn this hard lesson and dont do same sht again.

What this probably means is that your original ban was longer than 2 weeks, or it was permanent, and it was shortened to just 2 weeks.

since they said "After much consideration, we have decided to give you another chance to play the game." I'm guessing you HAD a perma-ban and it was reduced to 2 weeks.

@Midas it was a chat suspension as the games menu put it when i got it after sending that to support they added a 2 week Account ban so that instead of not being able to use chat i cant play the game at all for 2 weeks so they changed the punishment and increased it for me asking a question

And asking about ban times or crying about it is not always welcomed by some DE employees. You should have just waited.

They usually would perma ban your entire account for that (and they actually did at first from the answer you got), speaking from experience in a clear joke context I could appeal into a 2 month ban

That's the level of moderation in Warframe for you, uterly draconian

Micro agression? That's a ban, no warning, no temp chat ban, no escalation in temp ban

No, its we ban your whole account straight away or nothing

DE approach to moderation is by far the most unforgiving and poorly thought one I have ever seen by skipping everything before the perma ban

They have chat suspension, temp ban but choose perma ban as the FIRST approach to what is a minor transgression
