The problem is more compared to PoE. There, a perfect capture was 500 standing minimum, with the most common animals. Now you need multiple tags for 500.
I guess it's the same with fishing and mining? But i never did it that much for standing, so i don't know the numbers. I know a very rare fish could be 2000, but i don't remember the small common ones. Now you need multiple parts for 100.
I would like to correct you Sir/Madame (hard to tell with screen names), No I am not dogging on you here, but I do see where much confusion can be had as things where not explained very well and left things out there for interpretation.
I used my secondary, extremely weak MR6 do the quest. It would seem (unless it is bugged) a new player will have to complete Kadesh on mars (defense), Horend on Deimos (capture) then Phleygyas (eliminate), which is easy enough as my weak as water Khora and Cassowar had no issues doing solo.
The MR8 comes in after the quest is done, and after you leveled up to (I believe) level 3 in Deimos to get the part you need to do the warframe ability swapping.
Just fly around with tranq gun zoomed in and don't use the dumb lure system, you should instead be just sleeping animals you see/hear through the beep and flashing orange with the tranq rifle.
I got all rarity of dogs, all rarity of criptilex and the skate bugs through this.
The vulps I only got sly and 1 other varient.
The birds are the hardest in my opinion they are small and they fly.
This is how it worked for PoE as well. I laugh at people who do use lures at PoE, will do the same for Deimos lol.
The grinding ultimately amounts to nothing because this is, in fact, a video game, which has no bearing on anything IRL aside from entertainment value. And if you think entertainment value is all there is to real life, I strongly urge you to consider seeking employment.
