Any way to get rid of a Kuva Lich?
Accidentally killed one not knowing what it was, (returner after a 2 year hiatus) and turns out I've permanently gimped my gameplay experience by having this thing take portions of my loot unless I put in the time to grind for 3 hours to get rid of it. From what I've seen there's no way to get rid of it, but most posts about it are pre-new war.

If you didn't want the lich, why create one?

If you had read the thread at all, I returned from a 2 year hiatus and this mechanic was never explained. I did so by accident, thinking I was getting a strange bugged mercy kill which happens every so often.

Furiously mash keyboard first - ask questions later.

There is a way but no room for mistake :
1- Go to Dojo in the Kuvalich Room for trading he/she
2- Trade you Lich with another player
3- The Other player MUST vainquish/kill the LICH

You can trade it ONE TIME ONLY and IT must be Vanquish, NO SECOND TRADE/TRY

doesn't he still need to go through the grind to convert the lich before trading?

*** Player who does not like lich/sister check the wikia***

ARF Good one "goodsblade", My bad :
1- he must fight the lich with correct requiem mods
2- They go to Railjack area, he must beat them here too
3- IF he miss to vanquish it there then CrimsonBranch Dojo to get rid of it

Good point with actual system :
1-Requiem mods can be trade (I often give them for free or in pack vs a Vaulted mods)
2-You just have to finish it but the main fight can be assited (the way i get rid of mine for the first time ... choose mission clic pause, wait for help)
3-They give you all your stuff back in final battle (Good RJ + Necramech is better)

I was annoyed too the first time I got a Lich and I saw it stealing my loot. Then I stopped complaining, figured out what I had to do to get rid of it, and 2 days later I killed it. Then I did a few more until I got explody bow.

I know what I have to do to kill it, but my own problem with it is that I accidentally got this without warning and now it's a separate annoying slog of a grind that I have to do if I want to go back to grinding what I actually want to. I'd rather play something else than continue doing something that I don't find fun. If people in the Warframe community think I'm a lesser games player for respecting my own time then so be it, I'll just choose not to play.

I dunno, just seems silly to quit the game over it considering you 1) really don't have to kill your lich if you don't want to, b) it really doesn't take long, c) it's just more space ninja wizard killmaniac warframe content, and d) the rewards are really cool.

Also I dunno where you're getting this "lesser gamer" thing from. Nobody said anything like that. Probably better to not imagine that people are bullying you. Not good for the mental health.

Half the responses in this thread aren't even related to my question and are instead dunking on me for thinking that having the ability to accidentally start a slog grind that isn't avoidable is annoying, I'm not imagining anything. I'm not quitting solely under the pretence of accidentally starting a system, but rather that the devs have chosen not to even consider the ability to let the player dismiss a lich says a lot about the way they intend to continue to design and support their game. Same kind of thing happened with WoW.

I would be fine with it if it was actually just "more space ninja wizard killmaniac warframe content" but it's not the portion of content that I want to do, more what I'm being pushed into doing to get back to the fun part of the grind. I didn't choose to start this part of the grind intentionally. (The game didn't explain that this even existed until I got it stuck on me like a tick.) Even if I choose to let it sit on Saturn, it will still be there in the navigation menu, it's impossible to completely ignore.

It only takes a small portion of your loot, only on earth(as long as you haven't stabbed it), and you get all of it back when you kill or convert the lich. You can simply ignore it until you have requiem mods and saturn proxima unlocked.

We must not be looking at the same thread. Oh well, have fun doing whatever else it is you're going to do. Doesn't affect anybody but you.
godsblade Jan 27, 2022 @ 8:38am
just sounds like you have a personal vendetta against liches cause they definitely aren't as annoying as you're making them out to be, especially since it sounds like you haven't actually done much content after getting a lich and for a rant-ish thread on steam forums this is getting mostly positive replies

i have my own opinions of course after doing a fair amount of liches/sisters but the only real advice i could give is to just stop playing if this mechanic annoys you that much

There is *literally nothing* pushing you into doing it, other than yourself. The lich only takes resources from one planet (Earth), the amount they do take is minuscule (varies a bit, but almost certainly less than 7%), you get all those resources back when you eventually kill them anyway, and there is absolutely no other downside to having them just sit there. Unless you are actively farming something on Earth, they will do nothing to you, and can be totally ignored forever if you like. You can even do all related missions on public so you don't have to be strong enough yourself.

Let's do a fact check, shall we? Even being pretty generous with the definition of "dunking on you", I count 6 responses of that sort, most about one sentence long. Meanwhile, 13 responses were trying to help, several with multiple paragraphs. Even your first such post, with "As many in this thread have pointed out, 'you should just quit.'", there was at most 3 such responses, and none contained your quote. Declaring that you are quitting the entire game over a single very ignore-able system, then imagining yourself the victim being dogpiled by elitism, is just ridiculous.

NOPE, no me at least ... and the Lich are really annoying when yo came back from a long pause (got same problem).

Another way to limit it at the extreme is to fight the lich until it control ONE NODE only, then never do this node. The Lich (and his/her tax) will be confine in this NODE only until you get the mood to take care of it...
