Nyx prime any good?

Nyx is a very cc orientated frame. Unless you have the right mods, and by right mods, I mean maximum range (Stretch, Overextended), high as possible efficiency (5/5 Streamline, 3/5 Fleeting).

So its safe to say that to mod her correctly, its a bit of a hassle.

That being said, she is incredibly powerful if modded correctly.

Your ulti is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ too, even at maximum range it only gets to like 23 meters and costs a ton of energy to keep into any sort of meaningful damage absorbed. Specific warframe, pretty way of saying average.

She's NOWHERE near to being a stinking pile, you have no idea what you're saying if you think she's bad. Her CC can be extremely beneficial to your team, and controlling a specific enemy like an Ancient Healer can help alot, and I can easily solo one hour of T4S with her, and go even farther if it's on a good squad. Her being bad is YOUR opinion, if you don't like it that's your problem, but dont go on saying that it is a ''Stinking Pile'' just because you think so.

For OP, if you like a potential of buffing your team in a nice way if you grab the right guy with mind control, and causing madness in the battlefield by making enemies attack eachother, then Nyx is great for you. Ger CC capability is awesome and on higher levels I find it extremely helpful not to get hit by the enemy most of the time and instead have them fight theirselves.

Nyx is Strong.. very good CC like the other laredy said
And there*s a tactic to carry a survival with her Ult.. little bit "sneaky" but possible.. well it got a bit harder since they added nullies in T3/4 but it still works :D - however best use for this tactic is ODS

Its a shame that other warframes CC just as well and have damage output while they do it. Equinox yea? slashing the heck out of everything, and 5 seconds later detonating for 200.000 damage? ember? 2 is CC, 4 is constant CC over 29 meters just with overextended, bucketloads of damage. And the stabber is getting shot? playing the stabber is a quicktime event, you just watch them die and are invulnerable the whole time. Its boring as ♥♥♥♥, but he does it.

Whos getting shot? not a single one of them.

P.S.: baddies maybe. But those also complain that 20k rhino iron skins still useless too, needs more.

its all about opinion, each warframe has a purpose, nyx makes people attack each other so you and your squad can easily walk thru, she is not great by herself unless your really good but she sure as hell aint useless. more of a support class that makes cover for downed players

I recently got Nyx Prime as my first prime ever, i was more used to Valkyr and Oberon actually being useful and killing enemies, but Nyx showed me another way, the way of the mind ♥♥♥♥.

The fact that i can just jump into an army of mobs,use chaos,jump away and then shoot them from afar while they are busy killing each other is so damn satisfying.Less useful against infested missions mind you since they are incredibly fast and annoying.(at least i had problems with them, i just take Valkyr against them tho).

The above statement makes her useful in defense missions since the enemy will be paralyzed for a few seconds before starting to attack eachother, ignoring the structure they are supposed to kill. I admit though, if you have missions likes extraction where mobs are just swarming you from left and right, you are better off with a Frost because of his Snowglobe.

I had, still have, a ton of fun with Nyx. Just don't expect to use her abilities to kill enemies, just support your team and be awesome.( and laugh as they try to kill the exilus you mind controled.)

The diference is, for really effective range on those frames you are gibbing yourself of your damage output, at some point you will stuggle not to get shot with Ember or Equinox, but Nyx go was much was you can handle protecting yourself was much was others, besides she is a utility frame, and a very good one on that departement.

Your enemie's strength is your own take their minds and make them ifght whater ever is closest with nyx's ultimate choas (absorb is underwhelming panic button) and take their strongest to prevent mishaps bombard healers and heavy gunners are all good targets (shild drones are also good but don't have a good follow ability) mind pellets are just that a pellet gun the damage won't be useful maybe they will add utility to it one day.
Nyx is a great CC frame that rather weak pyhsically but can avoid damage by making the enemies distracted overall if you can make her I recomend you do.

Her 1 is straight up mind control, which can be used to protect yourself, tank for you, deny any damage from that source or just have a friend if you're lonely.
Her 2 is pretty bad, until you install augment for it. Then you can stun entire rooms for whatever duration you want.
Her 3 is her bread and butter. Why kill enemies when they can kill themselves?
Her 4 shouldn't be used as a damage dealer, but instead like a portable defensive bubble, a knockdown device and a area of effect denier. If you time it properly - nobody will be able to stand up in general. It's also a fantastic panic button and is very cheap with proper build.

So simply put it's this -

If you don't enjoy having a frame where direct damage isn't its number 1 strength, Nyx isn't for you.
That being said, you can use Absorb as a damage dealer, but as has been said a good few times, it's not very efficient.
