War is basically the Jatt but a little stronger.
Broken war: good for quick melee vs 1 target. Perferable to bring to infested missions as it's slash damage works better than war's impact damage vs infested (generally). I'd perfer it as a quick dispatch of a nearby enemy if playing with a gun focus.
War: Amazing with primed reach for sweeping large areas. Optimal with valk or volt as the slower initial swing speed is offset by their respective abilities. I find it generally nice vs most factions, but that initial swing speed and down smash can be an encumberance.
Personally I enjoy war more, but that's just my preference. If scindo p type weapon isn't your cup of tea, then just stick to broken war.
BROKEN-War works with any frame that can prime opponents for finisher attacks / assasinations, mostly Excal. It is effective against anything within it's range, but has the drawback of being mostly a Slash weapon, like the Skana.
War is best paired with Cleaving Whirlwind before using it at it's native attack speed, because the [2 HIT PAUSE HIT... [STUMBLE?] ] combination is too effective to ignore, and it has a bigger knockdown radius when slamming (I think?). I've tossed up a few elemental mods along with the usual package of "moar damage!", plus any frame that can momentarily 'disarm' foes (not like Excal RB; War + that = slow to me; see Rhino Stomp) = dead things.
The best instance for my [Stop moving button] + [Tear it apart] is when fighting Sentient drones. Especially when they (foolishly) are almost 'walking' or low enough to be melee'd, then they're dead before they become invulnerable by overadaption (although I did resort to my Soma P a few times with my Rhino Sortie loadout and it did kill them without much hassle, while they can't react except adapt).
85% for war
35%??? for broken war
