[SPOILER] Margulis

Margulis. "Shady" character we don't know much about. She had heavy influence on Tenno survival and creation of the Link. She disagreed with the rest of the Orokin, even tho possibly being blinded by the kids of Zariman Ten-Zero(or Ten-Oh). We know that from the moon part of the Second dream and those audio memories we hear in the halls. Ballas asks her "How can you defend these devils Marguilis, after what they've done to you?!" and she answers ​"Love looks not with the eyes but with the mind.They won't hurt anyone, I just need more time." But that's about it...
Now hear this.
First if all, Margulis' voice sounds kinda... Like... Lotus. Of course Rebecca voice acted her, that's obvious.
And second... Here are some ideas for you.
1)What if Natah infiltraded the Orokin empire long before the beginning of the whole mission? To start it from the inside. Somehow took appearance of an orokin woman and named herself Margulis. But spending time with the children from Zariman Ten-Zero, she grew too attached to them because, as we all know(100% fact) she was sterile herself because of the travel through the Void. And you know, that's why she betrayed her own people. And even changed her name to Lotus in the end, showing that she change, she is different now, with her own goals, etc etc.
2)What if Natah took control of an orokin woman named Margulis? Just like Hunhow did to Stalker. She did it with the same goal, to start her mission of destruction from the inside. But there was a side-effect from the "mind control" - Margulis' love for the children of Zariman Ten-Zero was way too much for Natah to handle and she grew too attached to them aswell. The rest is the same. We don't know much about Sentient, maybe the "mind control" could transfer some of the Orokin's emotions back to the Sentient. We know the result, at least.
3)The first part is the same as in 2... What if Natah took control of an orokin woman named Margulis? But the "mind control" worked out different, than Natah anticipated. Because we don't know much about Sentient, except void making them sterile. What if mind controling an Orokin would make them... Merge with the mind of this Orokin? What if, by trying to control Margulis, Natah merged with her and... That's how Lotus was crated? A third personality, consisting of two different - Margulis and Natah. Together.

Anyhow. In those 3 "ideas", the fact that Margulis is possibly blind, might explain Lotus' HELMET she is always wering... Ya know?

The point is... Lotus always calls us her children. Margulis also loved the kids of Zariman Ten-Zero... And those 3 "ideas" above kinda fit, no?

P.s. Anyway, if any of those 3 "ideas" are true, then... Our real "space mom" is Margulis, not Lotus. Or... Margulis + Natah? Or just Natah aka Lotus..? We'll see some day, I HOPE...

I get where you are coming from, but I think the Orokin killed Margulis until she was cadavarific long before they finished co-opting her research to create the Transference Units.. as for why Lotus sounds like her, it could be simply because she wanted to be assocaiated on a subconcious level by the Tenno, thus made herself into their mother's image to better do so.

I'm rather more interested to see what happens should we fully deny Lotus and her machinations, and will she ever revert back to being Natah?

Another Margulis' quote:

That's what she said before some Orokin council or whatever. She says "You Orokin", like if she is NOT Orokin. But it seems that it was Margulis saying that... While Margulis is Orokin aswell.
What if at this point it was Lotus already? Or "something between" evil Natah and the Lotus? Meaning... One more reason to do what she did, to become who she is now. The Lotus.

OR... The Orokin somehow found out that Margulis is mind-controled by a Sentient. Natah. (Or other options, explained above) And after being discovered, she faced them on trial. No need for hiding, so... That's why she said those words. I kinda imagine Margulis(or at least her body) standing there, cuffed and chained, yelling at some Orokin dudes, sitting there like a judges... Ya know?

I'd have to go back and listen to the final quest again, but if Lotus is Margulis', I feel like she is hiding something, as she has hidden MAJOR plot points from us before...
We know Lotus said "Natah was the daughter, until I destroyed her. Now, I am the Lotus. Now I am the mother.", however she also eluded to the fact that Margulis was executed "by the seven".
We hear that when going through the moon mission, when Ballas say's "Seven hands raised! For your apostasy the judgement is...death."

So was Ballas one of "the seven"?
And what was the "transferrance" he referred to back then?
Are the rejects really us, the Zariman Ten-Zero?
But if that's the case, then who is Margulis, if not the Lotus?

And you're not the only one who thinks Rebecca did VA for Margulis'.


***Also, I feel Teshin is going to come back up soon. As we saw in the Natah quest, he blames Lotus for the downfall of the Orokin - saying that she blindly led us like animals to do her work.
