GPU temperature increases in the orbiter
Hi, I've been playing warframe for years now.
one fine day, suddenly, I realized that the temperature of the GPU increases a lot. I have a 3060 and this shouldn't happen. Help me :steamsad:

How does the temp compare to other games
what are temps? if it's not going to like 90-100s. Nothing to worry about.

I've noticed modern GPU's get very hot. The 3060 also goes up to like 89C in 7 days to die.

Bro I have a 3080 its fine if your fps is uncap. My fps above 200+ high settings 1440p in orbiter and gpu temp hovers around 72-78c.

if you can cap your fps to your monitor refresh rate your temps will be normal.

on the other games the temperature is perfect and is around 45/50 degrees. in the orbiter almost 70

but the problem is that I'm inside the orbiter it gives me this problem, as soon as I enter a mission or the open world, low temperature

72-78c isn't an issue you will be fine :D

Nvidia GPU throttle at 83 degrees. So the 90+ degrees is only ok for CPU´s. GPU´s should always be below 83, and no game is to blame for this. Your GPU has bad thermal design/ or the paste is getting old.

Yeah this game seems to really test the GPU. I've played this game on a GTX 1080, RTX 4070 and now RTX 4080 Super, both the 40 series GPU's from different brands just starts getting really hot and screeching, assuming it's coil whine.

Could they fix this by updating the game?

Guess so, I think it's because there's no cap on the frame rate, causing the GPU to produce more FPS than needed causing a lot of stress on the GPU. They definitely could fix it. I think even with V-Sync I'm getting ~300FPS or more which is causing the GPU to get really hot and start screeching. Although Cyberpunk on high gets me ~300fps and I don't have any problems so maybe it's just the spaghetti code.

Turn off Volumetric lighting/fog.

I have now discovered something else, if you are on the orbiter and open the codex the gpu temperature drops. as soon as I leave the codex the temperature goes back up:steamfacepalm:

pretty sure the orbiter has more advanced lighting then a large part of the game and because so little is shown its more gpu limited, so the gpu is used more there, so it makes sense
