Nightwave is mostly just a free battlepass now. Quite useful for getting extra Catalysts, Reactors, and other things.
There's quite a lot of content (not just mission nodes on the map to clear, but quests and longer-term projects) to get through. Pace yourself, and set basic goals for yourself so you don't feel overwhelmed.
Make sure to check the Market for new weapon blueprints after you go up a new MR. The Hek shotgun at MR4 is a very solid, reliable shotgun that will last you for a good while.

I'm still traveling to their location.
Completely bought Leyou which completely owned Digital Extremes yes. I would try to grab your old account if possible but if you are starting out all over, pretty much same as before. The game really hasn't changed much in the early game versus when Tencent took over. The mid game to late has had some changes but nothing that would probably surprise a founder much.
even now, Tencent isn't do anything beside holding DE.
It was the principle of the matter. I was, REALLY pissed at them at the time as I had only just really understood them as a company.
Nothing wrong with that; its good to look up and understand what the owners of what you enjoy have their hands in and what it might mean to support them. That is just the nature of being informed. If you looked over Tencent's history and didn't see anything that disagreed with you; you are better off for it.
