New War - hate it
Recently came back to Warframe after 5 years playing other games. I had about 1 600 h in the game previously and thought it would be fun to get back in. It started alright, I had some fun (but feeling a bit underpowered) but then I decided to do the New War quest to kind of catch up. And now I am completely stuck - and I absolutely hate it. The horrible idea that you cannot do it in parts and play other missions that you actually enjoy inbetween. I just don't know what to do - I am getting nowhere in New War AND I can't get back to where I was before I started it and just skip the new bits. Shall I just give up and quit???

Everything was just confusing. I could not get the hang of the glaive movement system. Could not find two of the crystals we were supposed to smash, and while searching, the first crystal reset and I had to start over egain. Over and over again. Died or fell off the cliffs because of misfiring the glaive. Finally made it through, but it took hours. Hated every moment of it --- so much.
That sounds awful. You have convinced me to not ever start this quest unless I get desperately bored. Thanks for saving me a future headache.
You NEED to do it, because if you don't you're locked out of a lot of good stuff, so suck it up, git gud and do it. The quest is easy i have no idea how the guy is failing so hard at it, my 10 year old brother did it, without issue

I have not even cleared out the whole star chart yet. I am sure I can put it off for quite some time. What does it lock me out of that is so important? I can just buy frames and weapons from other players. I can level my mastery up without doing it. What will I be missing?

You can only buy primes, some warframes are locked behind it, you are missing out on multiple frames, and future quests, for example, you need to do new war to finish jade shadows, just finish new war, it's not hard, no need to put if off when you can just speedrun through it and forget it happened.

Pretty much all the mid-late game content is now locked behind that trashfire of a questline. Theres alot of really great stuff after it, but you have to do the slog to get there.

You know what? I will watch a video of someone playing through it. If it looks like fun I will not put it off. If it does not look like fun then I am putting it off till I really have to do it. If I am even still playing by then.

Ah, Kahl - a true badass, and a Grineer I do respect. It's also heavily implied he's working his way toward "inappropriate relations with an Orokin" with Blue Girl, which makes him even more of a chad.

On that note though - Veso, your bravery and sacrifice will be remembered and honored for many centuries to come. o7

The Sanctum Anatomica
Fibonacci
Tagfer
Bird 3
Necraloid
Human Loid
Netracells solo runs.
Deep Archimedea
Elite Deep Archimedea
Archon shards
Tauforged Archon shards
Archon shard segment for Helminth

Zariman Ten Zero
Quinn
Hombask
Archimedean Yonta
Cavalero
Incarnon Weapons
Install Incarnon genesis to proper weapons.

and the best part.. Drifter (adult operator)

Zariman = 5 new missions
Sanctum Anatomica = 6 new missions
(These are needed to be complete for 100% star chart unlocking Arbitrations.)

I was well prepared for this quest. Set aside a day to do it.
Took 6 hours and overall was moderately easy.
Took my time and absorbed it.
I personally enjoyed all of it. However I really would rather not do it again although I did think it well thought out and quite the spectacle.

Well covered.

There are lots of very interesting places (including the old Zariman 10-0 ship) that open up after the New War is complete.

Part of what hit me so hard about the quest is that it's from the perspective of non-Tenno dealing with this conflict.

So now I am currently stuck at the Namer veil factory infiltration. Died 57 times so far, and this is only during the third part of the section. I can't see how to get passed the guards. And the XX## game doesn't even save between the three sections so now I have to do the two first sneak parts all over again, from the beginning. Heeps of fun. Regretting (again) that I decided to try to push through. Probably won't make it in the end. i.e I will never be able to play my old warframe game again (unless the devs come to their senses and allow us to reset the quest).

Yeah that part of the quest has buggy enemies that sometimes see through walls. Took me forever because of that.

maybe watch a video or something or dont rush and learn the patterns. its basically the same pattern everytime. i remember messing up a few times at that part but mostly due to faults of my own like rushing. side note when you get to the archons each one has some heal gimmicks that are easily stoppable. everyone that did this quest had the exact same setup and loadout you do now.

Do you have a veil breaker?

if they notice you, you can try hiding anyway, i gave up and rushed through one time, not hiding, and it worked somehow
