Yeah of course. Though I haven't hit SP, the Void, or the War Within mission yet, so these weapons aren't in my inventory to outclass the Velox. I do have a max rank Soma and the Velox is stronger than it, though probably not the Incarnon version.
Eh, the Soma Incarnon isn't great. :D
Bottom line though - use what you like, but don't be at all afraid of trying new things either. My favorite weapons are pretty different from one another, but I like them for different reasons, and for different situations.
Sometimes, you need a weapon that can clear a crowd quickly. Sometimes, you need a weapon that can dump enough damage into a single target to erase their existence as fast as possible.
Sometimes, you need both.
Thanks, really. I'm actually always ranking up new-to-me weapons, and keeping those I enjoy most... and trying to build or strengthen a broad range of specialties. It's what WF is about right, until you have everything anyway. :)
For a game that features hordes of enemies, they just arent that effective.
As for boss killing, its far easier to mod a horde clearing gun to kill a boss than it is to modify a boss killing gun to clear a horde.
That doesnt mean I dont love some of them, but they just dont fit most of the game.
It sounds like you've fallen in love with the Velox, and so long as you continue to keep its mods and builds up to date I see no reason it can't continue to carry you well into the Steel Path and endgame. It's stats are fine and, as you mentioned, it has a few nice quality of nice features to help it stand out from the crowd. I might even go so far as to suggest you invest a little bit of plat into extra modding loadout slots for the prime version. That way you can have differently named modding configs (to hot-swap in navigation) for different elemental/faction combos.
- Primary Tombfinger kitgun (yes, still)
- Primary Sporelacer kitgun (it's a phys damage Amprex - don't judge me)
- Kuva Tonkor (heh)
- Tenet Arca Plasmor (really makes me wish for a Tenet Opticor)
- Phenmor (I mean...)
- Felarx (good shotgun, its incarnon form is just awful though)
- Strun Prime (both before and after I got the Incarnon adapter for it)
My most-used secondaries:
- Kuva Nukor (set for Magnetic damage for maximum status procs. don't judge me)
- Lex Prime (with incarnon adapter, not so much without it)
- Despair (both before and after I got the Incarnon for it)
- Secondary Tombfinger kitgun
