There are plenty threads about this topic.
Pw2? There is but it doesn't have negative impact on you. It only benefits every player because this is co-op game.
You can purchase weapons and playable characters but I would not recommend it. This is grindy game but if you pay to reach endgame you are skipping the gameplay content which begs the question why even play the game if you choose to pay yourself stronger.
Everything that has impact on your gameplay perfomance is available for free. Some parts of the game can be more grindy than others. Depends on your luck and what you are looking for and why. For example Four Riders stance mod for claw weapons. Gives you new combo attacks but it has 0.22% drop chance from Manics and you get to kill one Manic every 5 to 10 minutes in Defection mission or after 15min in Grineer Survival missions.
Credits you can ask around to see if anyone can take you to the index early, with a blessing you'll walk out 1mil one-go a couple more times you'll be set til you reach the quest to unlock it.
Endo is a bit subjective, Deimos is the prefered early game farm which nets you 1k/100 mom coins per go.
I guess the P2W option of a frame is subjective too.
Honestly, if you want "P2W" early, just buy Adaptation at max and that $5 DLC that comes with a maxed Serration. It's not really P2W but it's a head start.
Thank you!
Credits are the basic currency that you get from everywhere and that's consumed by many things you do. A bit later on you can pretty much ignore how many credits you have because you get them so much. They're also super easy to farm if you ever need to do some specific things that consume lots of credits.
Platinum is the premium currency and is primarily used for buying inventory slots, forma bundles, cosmetics, etc. and for trading with other players. It's easy to obtain platinum from other players by selling things you don't need or have multiple copies of(mainly prime parts). Just remember to use the unofficial site https://warframe.market or trading section on warframe's official forums to make your life easier.
Nightwave credits are obtained from Nightwave which is basically fully f2p battlepass. Some nightwave ranks and duplicate nightwave rewards give nightwave credits which can be spent on nightwave shop on all sorts of different things. You get nightwave ranks by completing daily and weekly nighwave objectives, but there is actually no need to focus on completing these because if you play actively you can get to rank 30 by accidentally completing them and If for some reason this doesn't happen there's a catch up system. Also ranks after 30 are not worth the time investment, you can get more orokin catalysts for example by spending that time cracking relics and selling drops.
Syndicate currencies/standings cannot be obtained with platinum or real money and they have daily caps which increase with mastery rank. There are some syndicates that you can represent so that part of your affinity(gained exp) becomes standing and then there separate syndicates for each open world / content island and doing things on said content islands gives standing with those syndicates. Each syndicate has their own shops and their own selection of items.
If you don't mind waiting a littlefrom time to time, and in general enjoy playing the game - no P2W.
If you are the type of player who has to have everything now and wants to reach "endgame" as soon as possible - then yes, it will feel liek P2W.
If you just started today, and your buddy was like "Hey man, here is a laundry list of things you need to buy to get started", you could certainly buy that stuff and get taxied to Kuva Fortress or Zariman and mess around.
However - good luck understanding how to use the Ferrari you just bought, as suddenly you load in and realize "Oh ♥♥♥♥ - this is a manual transmission, and I don't know how to do that".
Some are brainless (Revenant; but I love his kit all the same), while Harrow for example doing a Knell headshot build is going to feel like hell at first with no ranks on anything. Then they might even be a little salty they spent X plat on a riven they can't even slot yet or need to potato their Knell Prime, forcing them to grind (or lose depending on how they look at the situation lol)
Edit : Especially with the Helminth portion that would inevitably be required for P2W folk. They would need to buy some frames just to eat and subsume then build up resources and stuff just to get the skills they might need + deal with early Helminth slot limits.
But yes the game can be 100% p2w.
