Veterans spends the week crafting 1 forma a day. By Sunday they have 7 formas. Comes the time to actually make the build they want, that requires x3 or x4 forma on the weapon(s).
They give affinity blessing. Spend 10 minutes in ESO. Back to ship to forma. Weapon is back to level zero. Return to ESO. Do this again and again untill the blessing runs out or they "made" the build.
Now all the fun is gone, so I just drop damage boosts.
Most MR30+ players have essentially infinite credits. I'm sitting on 18 million myself, and I could not imagine spending all of it. So the credits booster isn't very helpful.
Resource Drop Chance doesn't typically affect the drops the MR30+ players are actually looking for (stuff like the "pity shards" rewards or quest completion rewards) so it's fairly pointless as well.
The Damage, Health, and Shield boosters are neat little bonuses but if you're MR30, odds are your builds aren't going to be relying on something like that, and I've never once found it worth the effort to go out of my way to the relay to boost those for a particular challenge run. I believe they're additive, too, so they don't scale very well.
Affinity, meanwhile, is useful any time you want to level up a new weapon or grind some Focus for a school that isn't maxed yet.
I have used the other ones occasionally, when helping a friend or a new player grind for something (usually credits) but if I'm using the Font for myself, it will be Affinity 100% of the time.
