Karak for me personally has a slow start up time, so modding it with a x2 faster shooting mod is essential.
Anyway.
Primary Weapon would be a Bolter.
Secondary Weapon would be Furis. Still use it.
Mellee Weapon does not matter really. Go with what you like to compliment your bu8ld.
As for primaries...I'm not entirely sure what you have available at mr5
Dread is on par with it too, depends what you like.
Hek is a nice and powerful shotgun. Can carry you through the whole star chart
Boltor is nice. I used it up to Saturn I think, at which point I became bored with it and started using Soma.
Ignis is also a solid primary. It's a flamethrower too.
Karak is nice as well, although I prefer boltor.
Secondaries:
Atomos definitely. Who doesn't like beam weapons that can chain with other enemies dealing damage to a whole group?
Melee, well... pretty much any melee weapon since the buffs.
Cause you need a lot of endo to rank up mods for both your warframe, companions, primary, secondary, melee, it's just a lot and something's gotta give.
And best thing to give out is secondary. Once you go up a bit, like mr7-8 you can start doing them too.
I feel like if you start leveling up mods for everything that it's a choke and your power level ends up a tad low for your progression.
I wouldn't really worry about secondaries this early on, but if you really want one I recommend the Atomos.
The Vectis is great if you like bolt-action sniper rifles. Apart from that, sniper rifles aren't really worth getting this early on, and you'll find much better ones later (Rubico, Lanka, Vulkar Wraith)
For secondaries, I liked the Lex and Vasto, and feel like they're good compliments to each other. Vasto is faster, Lex is slower but makes up for it with higher damage per shot.
The Atomos is a heat-based secondary, and has a gimmick where shooting at one enemy will send chains of damage to nearby enemies. The Ignis is a similar primary, but you need to join a Clan in order to get the blueprint. The Atomos is easier to get, all you need is some Argon from missions in the Void.
I don't think you can go wrong with many of the melees. You might want to focus more on finding a melee class that you like, and then look into potentially better melees later. But you can ignore the Mk. 1 melees unless you haven't already ranked them up for their affinity points.
It takes a bit to get used to but it packs quite a punch
