Favorite companions?
Yes, I spelled "Favorite" the American way, and with-held the extra u. :)

Some companions become available later than others, such as the Hounds from going after Tenet weapons. Nonetheless, I think every player eventually reaches the point of wanting their companion to be more than a loot-vacuum and passive radar (Animal Instinct mod ftw).

So - let's see some of your favorites. No top 5 requirement this time, as there aren't very many. (I still ended up with 5 on mine, but you don't have to.)

Smeeta Kavat - Yeah. We all knew this one was going to be on here. If you know, you're rolling your eyes and smirking right now. If you don't, the Smeeta Kavat has a good chance of doubling loot drops.

Nautilus (Prime) - Very good for two reasons - the Cordon ability, which clusters enemies together, and the Verglas (Prime) weapon, which is a warcrime. Setup with the right Bond mods, and Nautilus can take care of business even on Steel Path.

Hound - the Hound you get from going after Sisters of Parvos is surprisingly good. Its weapon does two of the three physical stats, so which one you like is up to you. I chose the one with Puncture and Slash damage. Its ability to spread status effects around, plus the Bond mods make this an extremely capable companion.

Carrier - still useful, even when you're in Steel Path content. Carrier's ability to say "lol no you're not out of ammo" is pretty useful for AoE weapons, and the Looter mod is very useful for getting resources.

Chesa Kubrow - my favorite of the Kubrow breeds, pretty much because of the Retrieve and Neutralize abilities. Retrieve lets it pretend to be a Nekros with Desecrate, and having it disarm enemies is just funny. Add on the Scavenge mod to have it claw open lockers, and it can supplement your loot pretty nicely.

My Favourite Companions are the Sahasa Kubrow and Diriga.

I love the Sahasa Kubrow because in the early game it was invaluable for generating energy from the orbs dug up. I also like watching my Kubrow perform finishers on enemies, its quite comedic to see the dog grow twice its size to rip the throat out of a heavy gunner. In addition i enjoy Kubrows because before the companion rework you could actually revive them rather than them just dying forever like a sentinal.

I love Diriga because the abilities it has are really good at spreading status effects with Manifold Bond, i also like the Grineer aesthetic.

Vasca Kavat cause she can revive me and also self-replenish, Helios cause no-hands scanner, and Diriga cause stun-lock (though been a while since I used this one cause Vasca pretty much dominates.

Adarza - ye olde CritCat. I can't blame you in the least for never going to anything else, to be honest.

It was my first Kavat which I made when the dog & cat were hassles to do when they first becamea thing & I never made anything else after that & he's the most ugly cat you can get but my god he's so useful.

Sahasa Kubrow. Big, Blue and digs stuff up for me and is really only not used when I am playing Ivara who uses Helios or Oxylus depending on what what is being done

Huras Kubrow is my main companion. Warframe abilities don't break the stealth it provides so I am free to spam Protea's stuff.

I am fond of my Carrier (prime) but do tend to find it dies a bit too easily in Steel path or Eidolon hunt level content to rely on realistically. For those, stuff like the Vulps that still die like crazy but can self revive due to that weird cocoon deal seem to last a little longer. I do sometimes like the way Inaros works with Pets like the Kubrow or Helminth Charger; those things can take a licking with him around. Sorta funny that Oberon with his passive can't always say the same and that is with the healing and armor. Still they can work out for some players using Oberon as well.

As to Favourite: Canadian English mainly follows British English guidelines, so favourite is the correct spelling. The same distinction applies to similar words, such as “honor or honour,” “labor or labour,” “favor or favour,” “behavior or behaviour,” “color or colour,” and “humor or humour.” - lol

Let's call the whole thing off - or not :P
There are many cool songs about British vs American ways of saying and spelling things. Perhaps google the song "you say tomato i say tomato" for a laugh.

For me, Nautilus rocks. XD

Alas, no luck farming Nautilus prime, so far. I don't know what those drop chances are but they seem pretty low.

A slightly un-serious answer to @rhoenix's question is: Clem.

Technically, I realize that they would be Clem Clone Specters after we complete "A Man of Few Words," and when we are not partnered-up with the OG Clem on merch acquisition missions for Darvo, but it's Clem! :Grineer:
Charm is just too powerful overall to replace with anything else. The other worthwhile companion mods are mostly universal, so it makes smeeta a no brainer.

well the flying gourd(carrier) have been with me since the beginning so It definitely my most favorite bot. :Corpus:

I just carry around Wyrm Prime for free Tenacious Bond and low management needs. Corrosive + Cold Verglas Prime with Shivering Contagion gives me plenty of CC and softening.
