Favorite early-to-midgame secondary weapons?

Since I've already done the primary one, let's have another thread for good early- to mid-game secondaries, with the same requisites - no Kuva/Tenet weapons, and no Incarnon weapons.

Again, here are mine - again, no particular order.

1. Lex (Prime)
This pistol hits like a truck. Though slow firing, it does a shocking amount of damage. Very useful if you're using an AoE primary, so you can use this for precision work.

2. Despair
Stalker's throwing knives. Admittedly, beating the blueprints out of the Stalker isn't necessarily an early game activity, but once you can do so, getting his weapon blueprints feels like a very worthy reward for such a progression. Despair are silent, and do quite a lot of damage - very useful.

3. Tombfinger Kitgun (secondary)
The sad thing is that you can't charge shots with the secondary version of the Tombfinger. Nonetheless, it functions as a very good alternate to the Lex, doing an impressive amount of damage per shot.

4. Epitaph
Ah, a "primer" gun. Though the parts from this are gained from Railjack missions, which aren't really early game, they fall (barely) into midgame stuff in my mind. So, this gun barely fits, and is definitely something worth working toward. It's regular shots do a shocking amount of possible status damage, and charged shots are very heavy hits. Using the Condition Overload mod in your melee allows this gun to work as a primer, letting you clear them from your path very quickly once they have some status effects on them.

5. Atomos
As a chaining beam weapon you can get your hands on for early game, this works pretty well for a good while. Doing base heat damage is just nice to build on, and its damage can last you into Steel Path.

The kitguns are excellent options! I also used the Vaykor Marelok for a long period of time once it was available and several lesser options before that like the Angstrum - rocket shotgun pistols can be fun - and AkFuris. I did keep the Lex prime on Loki for a long with a Hush to make it silenced; just seemed right while for a long time I had Vasto Prime on Excalibur since it felt like a mixture of old and new sorta Lato-like but better.

Aklex with perla skin on Mesa and pretend to be a space cow wrangler. I don't like the prime version, not fun.

Kulstar, this was one of the early to mid game secondary i used. It not particulary powerfull, but that was the first cluster grenade laucher i used
