Well, the OP info proves this assertion wrong. I already played my Wukong WF more because of this title.
I guess you haven't seen any of the game reviews by the usual suspects here in the west. All having been very positive. (that I've seen anyway, which are many).
Apparently you simply want to argumentative, as you keep saying the same thing. If I thought to play my Wukong WF more because of the release of Black Myth: Wukong, it again proves your assertion incorrect.
Congratulations. You decided to play Wukong again because you played a game about Wukong. Now let's see if his overall global usage has gone up since then shall we?
You're saying the game is a hit because it's Chinese.
I say it's a hit because it's a good game, and thus game reviews are of course relevant, regardless of whether you are interested in Black Myth Wukong, or not.
Grim Fandango and Jak 2 were good games, both were critically acclaimed, yet sold poorly. Are the reviews not relevant despite the flop or?
I'm not even debating on whether the game is good or not. Just saying it's disingenuous to think one game is going to change how often I see Wukong lol.
LOL.
Black Myth: Wukong is the top seller on Steam........for EVERY country.
And it's not a FTP game. Given your posts, this clearly won't sway you either, which says all it needs to really, and that's your loss.
If this studio improves on what they already have in the title (and there's evidence to think they will) it will not only become an epic game, but likely 2024's game of the year.
