Deplete umbra's shields

This is a perfect example of where this game fails. Annoying mechanics, zero explanation, google it, still doesn't work for some unknown reason. Void sling? nope. Void beam then? maybe... 99% of damage is a fat 0. Why?! I died 3 times because he teleports to you and starts slashing and the whole time I am doing 0 damage with my void beam. Everything else in the game is like this as well... You need a degree in google-fu to get anywhere in this game and they can't figure out why they have issues with new players? Every thing is obtuse and obfuscated for exactly no good reason.

Without upgrading your Tenno, the fight can be a pretty annoying one. If possible think about upgrading your amp and focus school nodes a bit if possible. If enough time or grinding is available you could also work on getting the Tenno some nice Magnus enhancements which depending on the ones you choose will make the Tenno form more utility or a light weight almost warframe level durability. It will still not be super easy but is much easier with a maxed custom amp and some upgrades.

This is exactly what I am talking about. I have no idea what an amp is, or magnus enhancements. These things are never explained in-game. I have leveled my focus school a bit but really the game is so convoluted almost intentionally so. I got to the quest where now I need a necramech, tells me to talk to loyd... so I go to loyd and surprise, no explanation, loyd doesn't tell me jack, his wares are all locked, and it's back to google... Trying to get through the 'tutorial' MSQ is so painfully annoying I'm amazed anyone at all can stick with it.

to get an amp, you need to visit Quill Onkko in the Cetus hub, located roughly behind the guy that creates Zaws, inside a huge rock that you need to use Operator form to enter. The most simple amp is like 20x stronger than Mote, so craft that one.

me doing Umbra quest with no issue, and i was using Default Amp that time because i dint bother to grind better amp.

I didn't even have that because I never equipped it. I had to fight him barehanded, lol.

OP has a point tho, that fight was annoying but at least the reward was worth it.

Jokes on you, I didn't even have the Mote amp equipped when I fought him because it was like 5-10 hours later (or more) in the game did I find the menu accidentally where I was supposed to equip it.

This fight was way way way harder before. Then like other games they dumbed it down for bad players.

I'm not rushing anything... For crying out loud, the problem is that nothing is explained. The whole amp thing isn't explained at all, they just give you the mote amp during a quest without it saying anywhere what it is, what you do with it, where to equip a new one, etc. This is a massive issue if multiple people are saying that they did the fight with the mote amp or worse empty handed due to a lack of knowledge that the game should have supplied.

Yep... Had to google where the amp screen was, found it... nothing was equipped, I did those fights bare handed. FFS.

the guy that gave you AMP,also selling AMP Parts too, Rank up and Buy AMP parts blueprint, i know all that with out tutorial , am i super human now ? this kind a step need Tutorial ? just check on Onkko and see the Option ? ,the Reason i dint build amp because i was Lazy and not interested hunting Eidolon, until last year i start to build my own AMP for Eidolon hunt.

People really blaming the game when they missed something that Obvious ?

DE expect people Customize their Operator, like switching focus , equip AMP, and other Customization, and you missed that is really weird.

Again, i beat Umbra with junk Amp, no GOOGLE- FU ,0 issue.

dont get me wrong i love warframe but the new player experience is absoloute dogwater and is the reason wy most people quit this game right after the start

every Online game has dog water new player experience just because player dont pay attention and rush everything at this rate.
