Cracking an Isolation Vault
Hi,

quick question. Trying out new stuff, so i did my first isolation vault. Pretty straight forward, and the single necramech was no challenge for me (Kohm be praised :) )...

However, inside the vault, i was pretty much lost... There was this little crystal that i can shoot with the operator to spawn some enemies, but the objective said to me to "either go back on top or crack the vault", optional activating the reactive crystal.

Well, i did shoot the little crystal with the usual effect, and found a youtube video how to crack the vault including the escort quest...

What I do not understand is, in this video there was all quiet in the vault. In my vault, i was swarmed by such a large amount of enemies (mostly huge infested ones), that I couldn't even see my warframe anymore.... That sucks a lot, i can't do anything while they swarming this hard.

Since the tutorial video was without enemy, did I do something wrong to trigger them all ?
They definitly were an endless wave, i fought them 10 minutes then I gave up.

you have to find the dead-end tile with the big door with the 4 symbols and hit the void crystal to get loid to show up and then you do a mobile def while keeping the necraloid safe , afterwards he goes back to the big door and u input the symbols in the correct order to unlock the vault itself

THEN afterwards u can go back outside to the surface and find the nearest mother pod and she can give you another series of task in that same vault area , ie cleaning the vault

Thanks, but I learned that from the video already. It was the Tier 1 Vault, but the massive amount of infested suprised me, while playing solo i can tank and handle the amount, but I would never be able to keep Loid alive in this swarm.

The videos I find never show that amount of enemies, so I wonder if I did something wrong to trigger them

You did not. You fight a pretty hefty horde while escorting Loid around. That's normal.

K, thanks..... Hopefully I can manage it solo then, not the best equipment yet. Good Melee and very strong primary, but I lack good warframes and mostly use Wukong because of my clone which does help a lot (thanks to the good weapons).

Well there's your problem that should n't be a problem, you need more dps. You can tank and do hell amount of dps in any frame nowadays .

Try improving your frame first , there are many youtubers like Brozime for example that help you with any frame or weapon

I know, i just don't know "which way" i should develop myself... In the past i had the most fun with spy missions, which is why Ivara and Wukong are my most played frames.... I currently only stick with Wukong because of the twin, it makes solo play much easier....

Will have to do some research in to other frames ...

I've had good results soloing the vaults with Trinity and Gara, weapons modded for corrosion and heat.

Wukong should do fine for cracking isovaults, it's probably more the weapons that you need to improve. High-end incarnons, tenet/kuva weapons, and some prime weapons are viable too. A good melee doesn't hurt either, though really a well-modded iron staff should be enough.
The isolation vaults are made for the necramechs, which really just means ridiculous burst damage to destroy the huge hordes, so having equipment for it can get you far. If you don't have those things, crowd control like Nyx's Chaos and Rhino stomp (entry frames), can help much more than standard weapons.

As for the spawns, it really depends on the tiles that have been set, some combination of rooms spawn way more enemies than others (usually complex rooms with low entry points).

You gotta nuke the bugs, Rico.

My Melee is a vycor sydon. It actually does quite a lot of damage. I just modded it a bit better with more critical damage and corrosive since I read that does work against the heavier infested, which take me a bit too long to kill. But I absolutly love this weapon because it has nearly zero movement combo animation which lock me in a movement, it's complete freedom with this weapon

My current primary is a Kohm shotgun... It's base is a 3x fire rate with I think 30 damage... Modded is now 9x fire rate with 500 damage... It's chewing the isovault 1 necro mech in 5 seconds... :) Unfortunately it has huge ammo problems. With 2200 primary ammo storage, i still run out of ammo in the open world, especially since the twin is using up the ammo (really sucks for single player, though I understand a bit why they nerved it).

I continue running the first level vault so I can built the first necra mech, then hopefully i can step up a bit..

Thanks to all for all the tipps btw, appreciate it :)

I know, I use this one. Also because of this weapon I use the carrier sentinel right now especially which also boosts me. It's mostly fine when I use the gun myself, but once I equip melee weapon i can no longer pick up vigilante supplies, and the twin isn't doing it either.

So i have a bit of the problem that the twin completly uses up my primary ammo... It's said that he picks up primary ammo by himself, but it's not enough. Ah well, you can't win 'em all

Open world drops less ammo than missions, unfortunately. Vicious spread is a good way to add way more damage to your shotgun, which will save ammo.

Thanks for the tip, unfortunately i do not have that mod yet. Will check drop locations
