Ah Gyre, My Crit queen. This lovely frame has the ability to massively increase the crit chance of every damn weapon in the game. She also has an awesome no touchy touchy ring known as rotor swell.
I can RUN thru waves of lvl 90 mobs and just watch groups of them die with the electricity running thru Gyre.
If you wanna run and gun, like some safety, and love a wicked steampunk looking electric generator of a sexy frame? get Gyre.
When built right Nekros is a super tank but his damage output leaves a lot to be desired and his 1 is never great. It has a niche use for healing his summons but that's about it.
Vauban is a fun choice. You can throw traps and such all over and you have to make sure the areas you want locked down stay so.
Equinox is also pretty fun when you learn how to use their abilities. I don't like meta builds for Equinox though as they usually focus on either Day or Night mode and not swapping back and forth.
For Defenses, if I want to just win without contest, I make sure one person in my squad is bringing Frost. His Snowglobe can protect the objective pretty fairly, but how you build it depends on what you're fighting. High strength for it's health, and keep it fairly small if you're fighting Grineer or Corpus. if you're fighting the Infested, however, a larger size with the augment that causes targets to freeze upon entering the barrier helps more.
He needs you to keep moving, spamming abilities to keep his battery charged. And his 4th ability increases your weapon's fire rate, among other things. You can build him with range for room nuking, or you can focus on duration to keep his 4th ability charged longer.
A very active playstyle if I say so myself.
His 3 (Collective Curse) is excellent, and is a great reason to mod him for high range. (I have 200%+ range on mine.)
His 2 is a bit more active and offensive of a defense ability, but it works very nicely. Also, it increases your melee combo counter.
His 1 is amazing. With a good melee weapon (I use a Hate with Incarnon) and using his 3, you can clear an entire hallway easily. Moreover, using his 1 to one-shot Acolytes in SP is viscerally satisfying.
I'm slowly working toward getting a total of four Tauforged violet archon shards on mine, for a +300% melee crit damage boost total.
No problem - glad to help, and I hope you enjoy playing with Kullervo. I personally don't like his 4, and ended up replacing it with Grendel's Nourish - however this is very much up to you. I do highly recommend modding for high strength and high range.
