How is void damage doing right now?
Been on and off with the game and just got back to it, i'm figuring out some builds and noticed xaku's subsumable ability is free void damage. All I know is that it's the most neutral damage type and procs enemies with an aimbot, how does this damage type compare with others in practice?

Void applies a magnet bubble that attracts bullets to the enemies weakpoint(usually head). However, there's a bug with it that doesn't make the clients shots weakpoints and essentially prevents clients from damaging the enemy's weakpoints, reducing their damage.
I wouldn't recommend using it unless you are solo since it can lower your team's damage and annoy your teammates.
Roar is on par with xata's and is better in a lot of circumstances because of the way many things are calculated(slash for example).

If you want all details, the wiki entry is pretty accurate.

Min-maxers use Xata's whispers because it creates a second instance of damage.

- That can be very efficient at damage dealing when used with faction damage mods (because of how damage is calculated and Xata's Whispers being a bonus instance of damage). However, note that Rhino's Roar is often more powerful for boosting DoT.

- Also, some warframe abilities are considered like a weapon instance of damage (like Nova's 4th causing explosion when triggered by a weapon) so they benefit from the bonus damage.

- it applies to some weapon's exclusive mods like "Acid Shells" for the Sobek.

- it does boost the original incarnons perk that amps up damage on non-critical hits

- It does make you charge incarnon mode faster, as you "hit" twice.
